My update

Hello blogging world…I feel like I’ve been slacking on blogging recently. I feel like I had more time to blog during the spring semester than I do right now. When you think about it, it doesn’t even make sense that I have less time for it now. I don’t have 6 classes anymore so I should have more time, but I don’t. Work takes up all my time now. I’ve been working day shifts which is really nice because my fiancĂ© also works day shift. And I’ve been working at least 5 days a week. So I do have 2 days off a week, but one of the days I do wash and the other, well, I guess that gives me time to catch up on blogging but who knows what I end up doing.  And actually, this week I’m working 6 days. My day off is Thursday and I can’t wait! After tomorrow, I’ll have worked 8 days in a row so I can’t wait for a day off!

So let’s see….what else am I up to? I’ve been doing more reviews and I will be posting them along with some giveaways in the upcoming weeks. My summer class is going alright. We had our first quiz last week and I got a 96% on it. So far, my grade is great! Only 4 more weeks of the class left!!! And guess what, the class isn’t ruining my summer at all. It’s only twice a week, and it’s never lasted from 5-8:30. We are normally out by 8:00. A few months ago I made myself a goal for the rest of the year: I want to read 20 books by the end of the year. Well, my progress on that isn’t going so well. I’ve only read 1 and a half books so far. Again, I thought I’d have more time to read during the summer, but apparently I thought wrong.

Well, I guess that’s all I have for now. I have to go to work now. It’s gonna be another hot day outside! Let’s hope the tips are good!!! Leave me comments! And don’t forget to enter my 2 giveaways: UGLee Pen and Cream Perfume. Have a great Tuesday!!!

Ergonomic pen - UGLee Pen Review & Giveaway (Ends 6/11)

I was recently given the opportunity to try out a new pen called UGLee Pen. I got 3 pens: one pink, one yellow, and one green.

100_1985

“The Ultimate Grip Pen by Dr. James Lee is a revolutionary ergonomic pen that is designed, created and used by a real physician. This Dr. inspired grip pen is redefining the way people view ergonomic pens. Try the UGLee Pen, you will love it.”

I started using these pens for my night class that I started 2 weeks ago and I absolutely love them! The grip on them is so comfortable that it makes me actually like note taking (a little bit). It at least makes note taking bearable. I usually don’t take notes with a pen, but I decided to give it a try. I like it a lot better than my old mechanical pencils because of the grip on the UGLee Pen. I gave one to my step-mom because she collects pens and she said, “The pen writes nice but is ugly.” So that shows that it doesn’t matter what the pen looks like, as long as it writes nice and feels good in your hand.

Each pen weights less than 1/2 ounce, meaning less mass, less inertia, and more comfort. The grip gives you ultimate comfort because it has a full length grip. The ink used is the smoothest ink system known. It is smoother than any roller ball, gel ink, or fountain pen ink. Then pen was created by a doctor so you know it has to be good.

Bodycology Review

I love any kind of body lotion!! So I love that I got the chance to review bodycology. I’m open to using any kind of lotion as long as it smells good!! And let me tell you, bodycology lotion smells great!!

bodycology® strives to improve women’s lives through products that feed the mind, body and soul. We encourage women to “find their bodycology” with our delicious range of products that use the highest quality ingredients, long-lasting fragrance and upscale, beautiful packaging – and all at a great price!

100_2004

I got to try 3 of their products: rich & creamy skin softening body lotion, brown sugar vanilla body cream, and white gardenia fragrance mist. I love using the skin softening body lotion right after a shower. The lotion is clinically proven to lock moisture in your skin for 24 hours! It has a bunch of essential nutrients including “glycerin to add silky, all-day hydration, jojoba extract to improve skin’s texture, and petrolatum to act as a barrier to harsh elements.

The brown sugar vanilla body cream is perfect to put on my arms before going to work. It leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth all day long. It also makes me smell good! Brown sugar vanilla has always been a flavor that I’ve loved so I was so excited to see this fragrance.

The 3rd product I got to review was the white gardenia fragrance mist. What does it smell like? What is written on the bottle explains it perfectly: “The rich, floral scent of fresh gardenias promotes love, peach, and good spirits.”I just love the fresh scent of this mist!

A plus about bodycology is that none of their products are tested on animals. A company that doesn’t test on animals is great in my book! I just don’t understand why beauty products would even have to be tested on animals. I definitely recommend bodycology to anyone who loves soft skin and smelling good! You definitely get both of those out of bodycology. So check out their website to find out more information about them. Then go look for their products at your local retail, drug, or grocery store!

My DIY Wedding Organizer

The other day I decided that I wanted to make my own wedding organizer so that I can be more organized with my wedding planning.

So I went to Walmart and got these items:

100_1989

100_1998

Then I used this book:

100_2001

to get ideas for what to put on the tabs. I used the table of contents as a guide for what sections I would need. The sections I included are: Calendar/Timeline, Venue, Menu, Guests, Wedding Party, Invitations & Stationary, Flowers & Decor, Cake, Photography, Dress, Entertainment, Gift Registry, and Honeymoon. At first I just bought a package of 8 tabs, but then I realized I needed more so I got 5 more.

Here is a picture that I took of the tabs before I got the last 5.

100_2003

This is what the inside page looks like. I have some vendor sheets that some places gave us on the left and our budget sheet on the right. (As you can tell, our budget sheet isn’t entirely filled out. We’re still trying to figure out how much we want to spend on everything.)

100_2005

I really love the pockets that are on each tab because it is a great place to put things. For example, here is a picture of the Invitations & Stationary.

100_2008

I got some samples from Magnet Street so the pockets are a perfect spot for them.

So, that is my wedding organizer. I think this will work a lot better than just a notebook did. I took the blank pages from my notebook and put some in each section so I can still write down any ideas that I may have. So what do you think? Leave me comments!!

It all comes down to this!!!

The Idol finale starts in 40 minutes!!! Right now I’m watching some red carpet footage online at americanidol.com. It’s really cool because there are 3 different cameras you can choose from to watch. You can even click and drag on the screen to look around a bit. I’m watching the one right in front of Didi Benami and Brandon Rogers (2 past Idol contestants for those who don’t know) who are interviewing people on the red carpet. It makes me wanna be there soooooo bad!!! I’ve been entering to win tickets to the finale for 9 years now (since season 2)!!!!! Maybe next year will be my year to win!

One hilarious part from the red carpet footage that I saw was when Lauren and Scotty showed up and Didi and Brandon were interviewing them for a little bit. Then all of a sudden, they got pulled away! There’s about half an hour till the finale starts now!!

So I think one of my favorite Idol finale tweets of the night comes from Casey Abrams. He tweeted: “@CAbramsAI10: Yo, watch Idol tonight. Someone gonna win, people gonna sing, stuff gonna happen.” I couldn’t have said it better myself!!

It is 8:00…time for the start of the Idol finale!!! We set a record last night with more than 122 million votes last night!!! That is crazy!!!

First up, we get a group song from the top 13. They sing “Born This Way'” by Lady Gaga!! What a great song!!! I love it!!! It’s a little preview of what we’ll see on the Idols Live Tour! We just won’t see 3 of the people though, because only the top 10 go on tour. I loved at the end of the song where Lauren and Scotty kept pushing each other out of the way to be in the very front of the group. It’s great to see that the Idol contestants kind of form a little family and get along so well!

Now they are going to show us some clips of the judges. They start with Randy, the only judge left that has been with Idol from day 1!!! One of Randy’s popular phrases of the season is “What is going on with this show?” Oh, and another big one was “_____ is in it to win it!!” Randy is crazy!!! He better not ever leave the show!

Ha…Ryan said he promises that he’ll get the results in before “your DVR’s stop this year”. I remember last year people were complaining because Idol went over 10:00 so anyone who DVRed Idol missed the very end of it.

The girls of the top 13 sang a medley of songs together. They started out by singing a few Beyonce songs and then, just as I thought, Beyonce came out on the stage. Her dancing is amazing!! I could never get my booty to move like that if I tried! So far that performance was my favorite of the night!!!

Steven Tyler…I wonder whose idea it was to have him on Idol. They got the most perfect person for Idol though. Now that he’s been on for a whole season, I can’t really imagine the show without him. He says the most random stuff!!!

It’s Jennifer’s turn…I love her! At first I didn’t know how it was going to be with her on the show. But right away I knew she was perfect for Idol. She’s been in the business herself so of course she knows what she is talking about. And her personality is wonderful!! Haha, they showed the moment when Casey kissed her on the cheek. That was great!!

TLC!!! Woah!!! I remember them from the 90s. I hope they sing “Waterfall”!!! First they sing “No Scrubs”, that was a good song, too!!! And now they are doing “Waterfall”. I bet most people who are younger than me wouldn’t know that TLC is actually missing a member. Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes died in a car accident in 2002. And now I know why their band was named TLC: Tionne, Lisa, and Crystal. That makes sense!!

Now Tim McGraw and Scotty are singing “Live Like You Were Dying”. This is a great song and it sounded great being sung by Scotty and Tim!!!!

A surprise is coming up next…I wonder what that could be.

Haha…the guy that had a great radio voice!! He’s showing us the bad moments from Idol this season.

I’m guessing the surprise was Jennifer Lopez dancing

Now Casey and James arguing over who’s elimination was the most shocking. I agree with James, I think his elimination was the most shocking. That was great when Pia came in with a “Most Shocking” sash on. She said “What are you guys talking about?” And they go “Nothing”. Then she’s like “That’s what I thought”.

The music video that Lauren and Scotty sang in was to Carrie Underwood’s song “Whenever You Remember”, another good song!!! They showed clips from past Ford music videos.

Wow!!! Lauren and Scotty got the keys to the Ford vehicle of their choice!! If I were one of them, I would choose the most expensive car that Ford sells!!

Of course, what would the Idol finale be like without Lady Gaga. What the heck is she wearing on her head though? There we go, she took it off, much better!

Lauren is singing “Before He Cheats”. I bet Carrie Underwood is going to come out and sing it with her!!!!! And she did!!! Carrie is one of my favorite Idol contestants ever!!! And she is so nice in person! I met her when I saw her in the American Idols Live tour back in 2005. It was right after the concert and I was waiting by the busses to see if any Idols would come out. The security guards were being mean and said we had to leave soon but there were a bunch that decided to stay, including me. And at that point my mom said we were gonna leave soon. Well, 10 minutes later is when this picture was taken:

Alright, so I can’t find the picture. I have it on photobucket but the link to it isn’t working. It was a great picture though! And she was so nice!! She was like “Where am I looking?” cause she wanted to make sure she was looking at the right camera!!

Alright, it is 9:55 and Steven Tyler is singing??? They need to get to the results as soon as he is done!! One thing they didn’t show this season was that they didn’t go to their hometown and talk to people they know. I know Mikalah Gordon (from season 4) is at Lauren’s hometown so I would have loved to see her tonight!

I just remembered something, my step-mom pointed out to me that Idol is on until 10:07, so that’s why we haven’t seen the results yet.

Alright….the winner of American Idol season 10 is…Scotty McCreery!!!! I loved during his song when he went out in the audience and hugged his family members. Well, Jack Black was going to be the next person Scotty would have hugged cause he was just standing there, but then Scotty just walked away and Jack put his hands out like “Hey, where’s my hug?”

Well, season 10 of Idol has come to an end. I’m okay with Scotty winning even though I wanted Lauren to win because I know she is still going to have a CD out, probably within a few weeks of Scotty putting out his.

So what did you think? Happy with the results? Leave me comments! Have a great night everyone!!

P.S. Check out my first giveaway and enter to win!!

A Country Showdown

Alright, it’s all come down to this!!! Lauren or Scotty, who’s it gonna be???

Their first round they are picking one of their favorite songs. Scotty is up first because he won the coin toss and decided to sing first. He chose to sing “Gone”. No judges comments?? That’s kind of weird. Ryan goes right to the numbers without going to the judges.

Lauren chose “Flat on the Floor” as her pick for her favorite song. It sounded amazing, just like it did the first time she sang it!!

I’m surprised that Scotty’s Idol is George Strait and not Josh Turner. He chose “Check Yes or No” for Scotty to sing. I really liked it!

I’m not surprised with Lauren’s Idol: Carrie Underwood. Carrie chose “Maybe It Was Memphis”. I never heard this song before but she did a great job with it! Her dress is so cute!! I’d probably change the color (to purple) but I love it!!

Now Ryan goes to the judges. I guess they are just trying to save time because they had to fit 6 songs into an hour. Last week when they did 6 songs, they did it in an hour and a half. Randy states the obvious and says “They’re in it to win it!!” Well of course they’re in it to win it, Randy, or else they wouldn’t be up there!!

Taio Cruz sang that perfect harmony song that people voted for online. I didn’t vote on it though. I have no idea what that whole thing was about. All I know is that I thought the chorus was really annoying. This is about the time that I turned on the TV and it was at the part of the song where he kept repeating “positive”. I was like, seriously? How many times does he have to say it??

Idol tour tickets…I gotta get…oh wait, I already did, Ryan!! 10th row!!!! I can’t wait!!!

Back to the singing now…for the final round they are singing the song that will be the winner’s debut single. Scotty's song is called “I Love You This Big”. The song is alright, not that big of a fan of it though.

Lauren’s song that would be her debut single if she sings is “Like My Mother Does”. If I’m thinking correctly, this is a Kristy Lee Cook song. Yup, it’s the same song. So I wanna know why Scotty gets a brand new song but Lauren doesn’t. That’s not really fair if you ask me. But, I guess Idol isn’t about fairness. I really hope Lauren wins!!! I really love that song and hope that she wins so that song can be released!!! I still think it’s awesome that Steven Tyler predicted Lauren would win and now she so close to winning!!!

Well, that’s all for my thoughts. I think it’s going to be Lauren!! Who do you think it will be? Leave me your comments.

And again, check out my first giveaway!

Glee goes to Nationals in NYC!!!

I didn’t get to watch all of Idol tonight because I only got home

The Glee season finale is here!!!! They start of the episode right off the bat being in NYC! I love NYC so I’m loving this so far! I was there twice: once with my aunt right after I graduated from HS and then the last time was with my fiancĂ©.

Finn wants to ask Rachel out but he thinks she is too into Jesse right now. I think he should take the advice from the guys and go for it. The worst she can say is no, right?

I’m not sure what the song is called, but I’m loving the song that Mr. Shue is singing on the Broadway stage! That’s definitely a download!!!

Well, Finn took the guys’ advice and he asked Rachel out on a date. I guess you could call it a date. The guys are standing on the sidewalk and all of a sudden they start singing “Bella Notte”, how cute! Finn goes in to kiss her, but then she says she can’t.

They just showed a short preview for Glee the Movie in 3D!!! I am so there!!!!

Rachel and Kurt somehow break into Gershwin theater, the home of Wicked. I was there before!! I will never forget that day! My aunt told me that our seats were row K, so I thought we were pretty far back. We get there and are walking to our seats and we keep getting closer and closer, and eventually we are only a few rows away from the stage! I think it was like, 3 or 4 rows. Rachel and Kurt are singing “For Good”!! I love this song and am definitely downloading this as well!!

The New Directions found out that Mr. Shue is going to Broadway. But then he says he’s not going and that he’s staying with them.

Nationals have begun! Another choir sings Usher’s “Yeah” which sounds alright. It seems kind of weird them being in dresses though. Vocal Adrenaline is up next. Their outfits are much better. I love the blue dresses!

Alright…it’s time for the New Directions to show NYC what they’ve got!!! They start out with a song that Finn wrote for him and Rachel. They really need to get back together because they are so cute together!!! Wow! They kissed at the end of the song! So that’s what Jesse was talking about when he said “Was that scripted?” in the previews and Mr. Shue said “No”. That has been bugging me all week because I wanted to know what he was talking about.

I love when they do original songs on Glee. Don’t get me wrong though, I love when they do covers of other songs, but I’d love for Glee to do a lot more original songs for the upcoming seasons. Oh, and since I commented on the outfits of the other choirs, I just gotta say that I totally want a dress like the ones that the girls in the New Directions wore!!!

They didn’t rank??? They didn’t make it in the top 10?? That really sucks!!!! I don’t think that Rachel and Finn’s kiss cost them nationals. I just can’t believe they didn’t even rank!!! Well, they got 12th place and they still got a trophy, even though it was really small.

Well, that is all for Glee this season. I guess I’m going to have to listen to all my Glee songs and go see Glee the Movie in 3D when it comes out in August!!! That’s all for now. Don’t forget to check out my very first giveaway. Leave me comments :)

Cream Perfume Company Review & Giveaway (Ends 6/6)

Yes, you read that right! I did say that I had some reviews and giveaways lined up and I just got my first product in the mail last week!!!
I would like to thank Mary Johnston, the founder and president of The Cream Perfume Company, for allowing me to review her products and do a giveaway here on my blog. You can find her products at kaponga.com. They are based in Southern California and appeal to anyone who loves natural, effective, and affordable personal care products. Their cream perfumes were created as a more affordable and healthier alternative to highly-priced fragrances that are packed in environmentally unfriendly materials. They use less expensive, alternative, and eco-friendly container materials such as wood and use beeswax and sweet almond oil in their products. The body lotions contain pure and naturally derived oils and extracts from nature along with their premium French fragrance oils to combat dehydrated, sore, inflamed, and damaged skin.
100_1962
100_1968 One of the items I received was their Mandarin body lotion. I can honestly say that I’ve never smelled a body lotion like this before. All the lotions I’ve smelled before smell way too strong but this one has just the right amount of fragrance in it. What’s so nice about this lotion is that it is made from all natural ingredients, is 100% vegan, and it is wheat and gluten free. All of their lotions are free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, silicones, artificial colors, and petroleum-based ingredients. The lotion is very soft and doesn’t leave you with that overwhelming scent that other lotions leave. It says on the bottle that it is "excellent when  used immediately following bathing to lock in moisture." I've used it right after taking a shower and it is really nice!

100_1964 100_1967I also received two of their small 0.35 oz containers of cream perfume: raspberry and ylang ylang. They come in travel-friendly jars that won’t leak or break which are made from “residual wood sourced from environmentally conscious mills that meet criteria set out by the Forest Stewardship Council”. Again, they have the right amount of fragrance in them. I’ve never seen a product like this before. It almost looks a little bit like lip gloss. But I’m pretty sure it isn’t safe for use on your lips, so I wouldn’t try doing that. It can be easily applied to your wrists or neck, or wherever else
you would like to add some fragrance to your body.
100_1970
And now for the giveaway…one lucky reader will get to choose any 1 item from their website.

How do they do it??

So, recently I’ve been watching some reruns of Extreme Couponing, and I would like to know…how do they do it?? I mean, I know that they buy like, 5 Sunday papers and dumpster dive to get coupons and they use coupons for items that are on sale to increase the savings, but how do they find stores that allow you to use more than one coupon per item??? I’ve been looking at all of the coupon policies for the stores around me and all of them say “One coupon per item”. I just don’t think it’s fair that all stores don’t have this policy because I think they definitely should.

One of the episodes I saw last night was about a guy that had 1,000 tubes of toothpaste. Seriously!?!? Will he even use that many tubes of toothpaste in his lifetime? I understand that he got it all for free but it’s pointless to have that many when you won’t ever use that one. And there was another guy (or maybe it was the same one) that had enough body wash to last him 21,000 showers. I did the math and if he takes one shower per day, it would last him a little over 5 and a half years!!! That is a little more realistic than having 1,000 tubes of toothpaste, because at least you know that you’re going to need body wash for 5 and a half years. Then there were a set of twins who were getting all this free stuff on their birthday. I try to do the same thing. Last year I got a coupon for a free bear at Build-a-Bear Workshop so I used it. Anyway, what bugged me about the twins was that one of them had a huge stockpile of diapers and she didn’t have any kids. She got them all for free, but that’s besides the point. Would you buy dog food if you didn’t have a dog? Probably not. I just don’t see what she needs a ton of diapers for if she doesn’t have any kids. Sure she’ll have them for the future if she has any kids, but I still think it’s pointless.

I  enjoy watching the show because it’s really cool to see their total go from a couple hundred bucks down to nothing. I just don’t think that what they are doing is really fair or necessary. It’s not fair because they wipe out entire shelves of items. Also as I mentioned before, not all stores allow you to stack coupons, so unless they all do it, I don’t think that any should. It’s not necessary because as also mentioned before, what do you need 1,000 tubes of toothpaste for?? Couponing can be done without buying the whole store out. If that’s what you’re going to do, why don’t you just buy the store?

Alright, I’m done ranting now. I just wanted to write about what I thought about Extreme Couponing since it’s a big topic right now. Leave me your comments and let me know what you think. Also, it’s the start of week 4 of my blog hop, so check that out. Last week was pretty sad, I only had 8 other people besides me and the “Featured Blog of the Week” that joined it. And the most I had link up 27 in week 2, so let’s see if we can beat that this week!!!

10 Reasons I hope the world doesn’t end today

I saw this post in my Google Reader as I was going through blog posts from the blogs I follow, and I figured I’d do my own post like that one. I’m not one of those crazy people that actually think the world is going to end, but just for the heck of it I want to make a list of 10 reasons of why I hope the world doesn’t end today.

1. My wedding is in 2 years!!

2. The American Idol finale is next week!

3. I’m going to see the Backstreet Boys this summer!!!

4. I’m going to see the American Idols Live tour this summer and am sitting 10 rows away from the stage!!!

5. Breaking Dawn part 1 comes out this fall!!

6. The Glee season finale is next week!!!

7. I have to catch up on this past season of Bones!!

8. I didn’t have kids yet!

9. I wouldn’t get to blog anymore!!

10. The 3 years I’ve spent in college would be for nothing!!!

Again, I don’t really think the world is going to end, but those are just some of the things I would miss if it did. Of course I would also miss my friends and family as well!! Have a great weekend everyone and leave me comments! :)

And the final 2 contestants are…

So tonight was my 2nd day of class. We got out at 7:45 tonight, so I didn’t make it home in time for the beginning of Idol. And yet again, I messed up the taping of Idol and I forgot to turn off the VCR so it didn’t record. Oh well, I only missed the first 15 minutes. When I turned on the TV, they were showing Haley’s hometown visit. I didn’t miss Lauren or Scotty’s, so that’s all that matters!

After some group I’ve never heard of performed, it was time for Scotty to go home. That has to be the greatest feeling in the world going back to your hometown and actually seeing all of the support that you’re getting from everyone. Josh Turner surprised Scotty by coming out on stage with him as he was singing Josh’s song “Your Man”, the song he sang at his audition. Scotty was so surprised and I bet he loved that moment!!

Next up was Nicole Scherzinger performing. What does she have to do with Idol? I just don’t understand why Idol has all these random people on the show to perform. I guess they just use it as filler time, but they could at least get more past Idol contestants or something.

Up next we saw Lauren’s hometown visit! She is so cute and her personality reminds me of Kellie Pickler and Carrie Underwood. It was heartbreaking when she saw all the damage that has been caused by the storms. And the little kid she met that saved his family…so cute!! He pulled his brother out from some bricks!

The first person in the finale is….ugh, Ryan made us wait till after the commercial break!! I hate when he does that.

Alright, time for the results for real now…the first person in the finale is Scotty!!!!

And the second person in the finale is…Lauren!!!!! Yay!!! I am soooooo happy!!! I knew that Lauren would be in the finale. And I always thought it would be James or Scotty along side her. I just still can’t believe how far Haley has made it!! I thought she was going to be gone weeks ago!!

Well, that’s all I have for the results, I’m gonna go celebrate now!! Lol…not really, I’m not going anywhere. But I might do a happy dance!! Leave me comments!!

And then there were 3…

I can’t believe we are down to the final 3!!! And James isn’t there :( It should have been Haley that left!!! Or Scotty! But definitely not James!!

Scotty starts off the night with “Amazed” by Lonestar. I love this song and think that he’ll sound great doing it! And he did. But yet again, Scotty sounds good with any country song.

Next up was Lauren singing “Wild One” by Faith Hill. This wasn’t one of my favorite performances from her, but I thought it was alright.

Haley finishes up round 1 singing a Led Zeppelin song. Apparently she is the 2nd person (Adam Lambert was the 1st) to sing Led Zeppelin on Idol. If you’ve read my blog before, you know my feelings on Haley. Yes I like her now more than I did a few weeks ago, but I still don’t think she should be here.

Round 2…they are going to show the contestants’ auditions. It’s so weird to see their auditions now because it seems like that was forever ago!! Scotty sang “Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not”, which is also a good song! I liked this one better than the first song. It was a perfect song choice for him!!

Next up is Lauren! I loved her audition!!! I loved how her parents came into the room and she sang some of “I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing” with Steven. She was only 6 when she first watched Idol!! Wow!!! That is still just really mind blowing that she was that young!!! I was 11 the first time I saw Idol, so that isn’t as young as Lauren. She is singing “If I Die Young” by The Band Perry. This is a great song as well and she sounded amazing! I really think she could win it all!!

I don’t remember Haley saying that she tried out for season 9 and made it to Hollywood.l I’ll have to see if I can find any footage of when she was on season 9. She sang “Rhiannon” which I had  never heard before. I didn’t like it. But how much do you wanna bet the judges are going to love it? And they did, they loved it.

So I could have done without the Beyonce video. My fiancé asked me if we could fast-forward it. I wish we could have!!

Scotty sings his last song of the night. I’m not much of a fan of it. But to be honest, I think he sounds the same in every single song he does. I still like him, I just don’t think he changes it up that much.

Lauren’s last song is “I Hope You Dance” and before she even sings it, I think it’s going to be a perfect song for her!!! That was one of my favorite songs from Lauren!!! She definitely won the round!!!!

Haley wraps up the night. I think the judges did a good job of picking a song for her. I thought this song was actually pretty good. It was my favorite song from her of the night. I still think that she won’t make it to the finale though.

Would You Rather Wednesday- 5/18/11

Wednesday

Would you rather be on Minute to Win It or Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?

I would rather be on Minute to Win It because I would probably be better on that show than I would be on Millionaire. I don’t think I know a lot of random trivia facts in order to be any good on Millionaire. Although, I’m not sure I could do well on the challenges on Minute to Win It, but I think I could do a little bit better on that show.

Leave me a comment letting me know which one you would rather be on and vote in the poll at the top right side of my blog! Have a great Wednesday everyone!!!

One more week till Nationals…

I just got home…7:58, just in time to watch Glee!! Tonight was my first day of class which is supposed to be from 5-8:30, but we got out around 7:30. That works for me! Now I can watch Glee live!!! It’s the second to last episode of the season!!!

Jesse as the consultant for New Directions? I don’t see why they need a consultant, especially a student consultant, but okay. I mean, I guess Jesse does know what he is talking about.

Sue is trying to mess up the glee club’s flight, that is horrible. What’s even worse is that Sue kicked Becky off the Cherioes so now Becky wants to join the glee club. Mr. Shue tells her that she can’t join anymore this year because they are so close to nationals but that she can join next year. Wow…Sue’s sister, who has Down’s syndrome,  died yesterday. So that’s why Sue kicked Becky off the Cherioes. Becky reminds her so much of her sister so I guess she just couldn’t stand seeing her. That’s still horrible what she did.

Awww….Mr. Shue remembered the shirt he was wearing when he first met Emma!! I’m still hoping they’ll get together!

Now they are auditioning for who will be the lead singer for nationals. I hope it’s someone other than Rachel. She sings the lead in almost all of the songs they do. It’s time for someone else to have a chance at singing the lead.

I liked what Kurt and Finn did for Sue’s sister’s funeral. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was her favorite movie so they put up some decorations around the casket. It’s very different seeing a soft side of Sue. It just goes to show that everyone has a soft side to themselves, even if it is buried deep inside of them. I think all of the Glee club members were shocked to see that side of Sue.

Then the glee club sang “Pure Imagination” while they showed a slideshow with pictures and videos of Sue and her sister. I thought the song was great! I’m definitely downloading it!!

Sue had a change of heart!! She let Becky back on the Cherioes and is making her captain!! Well, she didn’t have a change of heart when it comes to the glee club. She still managed to mess up the flight to New York. But then Terri somehow managed to fix it, so that’s good! The New Directions are going to New York after all!!

Mr. Shue decides they will be going back to what they did before and do original songs with the whole group singing. That should be good!!

Well, that’s all for Glee tonight. Next week is the season finale and it looks awesome!! Leave me comments!

Day 1 of my summer class

Alright, so today was the first day of my summer class that I am retaking. Before I left, I just really didn’t want to go. I was still kind of mad at myself because I was so close to passing the class! I’m just so mad that I have to take the class again!!! But oh well, I just have to move on from that. I have to retake it and there’s no changing that. Another thing I’m mad about now is that I have to buy the book again. It was a book that the professor had printed with all of the powerpoint slides in it with places for us to take notes. I thought that since I had the one from last semester that I wouldn’t need to buy it again. Well, I thought wrong. I’m just gonna have to fork over the $40 for the book.
So after my first class, I’m feeling a little better about having to take the class. I mean, it’s only 6 weeks long so it will be done on June 23rd. That still gives me a little less than 2 months of my summer to enjoy. But also, it's not like I can't enjoy the next 6 weeks as well. The class is only twice a week. And it's only one class so it's not like I have 5 other classes to focus on like I did last semester. The class is kind of tough though. But I think taking it this time will be a lot easier because like I said, it's the only class I'm taking right now. Well, that's all I have for now. Leave me comments! Have a great night everyone!!!

I found a new show that I love!!

Alright well, the show isn’t new, but I’m new to watching it. The show is….The Rachael Ray Show!!!! Yesterday I was watching the end of Live with Regis and Kelly and then The Rachael Ray Show was on right after it so I just kept watching and got intrigued! She was talking about how her magazine got a makeover and has this little magazine inside it that you can pull out and it has a list of grocery items you need in order to make 5 meals! I went to Kmart yesterday for milk and I was going to get it then, but they didn’t have it. I’ll have to check it out the next time I’m at the store.

Well, I’m watching today’s show right now and I just wanted to share with you one of the recipe’s she made today. I’m definitely going to have to try it out! It’s grilled pork chops with fresh berry compote. It is a sauce made with blueberries, onion, lemon, and thyme that you put on top of pork chops!!!

That’s all for now! Remember to join my weekly blog hop and check out the other hops I’m joining today!

Meet Me on Monday

I haven’t done this for a few weeks so I figured I’d do it this week.

Questions:
1.  Crunchy or smooth peanut butter?
2.  What is your favorite color Rose?
3.  Do you remove your shoes when you walk into your home?
4.  What is your favorite season?
5.  Approximately how many hours a day do you spend blogging?

Answers:

1. Crunch or smooth peanut butter?
I like both, but I think the smooth is the best!

2. What is your favorite color rose?

Red :)

3. Do you remove your shoes when you walk in your home?
I don’t take them off and leave them by the door, but I do take them off right after I get in because I don’t like wearing shoes when I’m at home. I also take my socks off because I can’t stand wearing socks without shoes, unless my feet are really cold.

4. What is your favorite season?
I’d have to say Spring is my favorite because it’s not too cold and not too hot.

5. Approximately how many hours a day do you spend blogging?
Umm…probably a lot, lol.

Oh, and I wanted to show you a picture of my dinner from last night and let you know how it was. In case you missed that blog, you can check it out here to find out how to make what I made.

100_1953

It was delicious!!! When I wrote about how I made it, I just said we were putting spices in it because I didn’t know what we would use. My fiancĂ© put garlic powder, whole oregano, and chili powder in it.

Also, I wanted to show you a picture of the tiny bananas I got!!

100_1956

It tastes just as delicious as a regular sized banana :)

Well, that’s all I’ve got for now. Don’t forget to join my blog hop if you haven’t already! Have a great Monday everyone!!
