Things are moving right along and we have almost everything done!

It has been a little over a week since we got rid of the cable and DVR and I’m not missing it at all. I can still watch all the shows I used to record and watch. Plus I’ve started watching some shows that I may not have seen every episode of, such as Reba and Sabrina the Teenage Witch. My future-sister-in-law got me into Grey’s Anatomy and I finally finished the first season of it and am on the second!

This is a busy week for me with work. I’m subbing every day this week with today being my only half day. Then I also work my second job every night this week, except for last night. Then on Saturday I have a vendor show with Scentsy all day. Saturday night I’m going out with B and some of his friends to celebrate a 21st birthday, so that should be fun! After that I work 3 more days and then I’m off for a week!!! I may not be bloggng that much within the next few weeks but I will definitely post all about it when I get the chance! Have a great rest of your week everyone!!
Nicole @ Two and Two is 4http://www.blogger.com/profile/02682064828197943678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8964522648278581313.post-51336867052100091222013-04-26T11:50:00.001-04:002013-04-26T11:50:09.156-04:0022 days!!!
It’s been a while since I posted about the wedding. I can’t believe it is 22 days away!!! Today I am getting my trial makeup session done and…picking up my dress!!! I am so excited to try it on one last time before the big day!!

It is now that I am starting to freak out a little bit because I am now realizing how much stuff still needs to get done and how little time we have left! (3 weeks!!!!) The most important thing we need to do is go get our marriage license. We have to be at the place by 4:15 to get it and most nights B is only getting off work around 4. But we’ll figure it out. Hopefully there is time today to get it in-between me getting my trial make up done and picking up my dress.

I just still can’t believe that after being engaged for about 2 years and 9 months…the big day is less than a month away!! It has been a looooong wait and a wait that will definitely be worth it in the end!!! Any advice for a bride with 3 weeks to go until the big day? Leave me some comments and enjoy your Friday everyone!! The weekend is here!!
Nicole @ Two and Two is 4http://www.blogger.com/profile/02682064828197943678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8964522648278581313.post-81460218877869880992013-04-24T19:28:00.001-04:002013-04-24T19:46:28.803-04:00Goodbye DVR
So almost a year ago I wrote a post saying I was contemplating whether or not B and I should get DVR (click here to read that post). Then the day after I posted that, I posted another one (click here) saying that we weren’t getting it. But then about 4 months later we decided to get it because our cable company was having a special on it (read that post here).

As much as I love my DVR, it is time to say goodbye. B and I have been looking at ways that we can save money and getting rid of the DVR and cable is one way to do that. Yes, I said we are also getting rid of our cable. I just looked through my DVR the other day at all the shows I watch and record and realized that I can watch all of them online. So I thought, “why are we paying for cable and the DVR when I can just watch all my shows online?”

So…we already have a subscription to Netflix so we will use that a lot more. We are also going to get a subscription to Hulu Plus. Oh, and B is building a computer to hook up to the TV in the living room so we can watch Hulu and Netflix out there. He also ordered a device for the TV in our room so we can do the same thing. Yes it was a bit expensive for everything he had to order for those 2 things. But it will pay for itself in about a year and make it worth it.

One thing I was wondering about was how I was going to keep track of what shows had new episodes that I need to watch. Well…of course there is an app for that! The one I found is called TV Tracker.

At first I downloaded the lite version of it for free but you can only add 2 shows with that. So for 99 cents I upgraded to the full version. As you can see below, once you add your shows, the number in green on the right shows you how many episodes of that show you have to watch. (Yes I know, I’m WAY behind on the Vampire Diaries and Dancing with the Stars. I’ll get caught up with Hulu!)

Then when you click on the show, it will show the icon saying “The End” with an open curtain on the shows you have seen and a closed curtain on shows you need to watch still. This app is going to be so useful for me and maybe one of the best 99 cents I’ve spent on an app!!

So…starting on Saturday, B and I will no longer have our DVR or cable! But we’ll be ok…Hulu and Netflix are all we need. Oh and each other of course Have a great rest of your Wednesday everyone!!!
Nicole @ Two and Two is 4http://www.blogger.com/profile/02682064828197943678noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8964522648278581313.post-55162760422523104182013-04-18T19:21:00.001-04:002013-04-18T19:21:18.847-04:00What would you like to see?
What would you like to see on my blog? I know I have some followers out there but I haven’t been hearing from any of them recently and I am just wondering what my followers think is missing from my blog. Now I’m not promising that I will give you all absolutely everything you want, because it is after all, my blog. I get to decide what I write and put on here.

But I would like to know what I can do to keep you, my followers, coming back to read more. I enjoy writing and connecting with people. I follow so many blogs that I really enjoy reading and I kind of feel like I know them, when really I don’t know them other than their picture and words.

So please leave me a comment or email me at IdolFan2890@gmail.com and let me know what you think my blog is missing. I had an amazing time and words can not even begin to explain how much fun this past weekend was!!

I love this picture of my 3 bridesmaids! My aunt on the far left is my matron of honor!!

I’m LOVING that I have off work from both of my jobs today! It will give me time to do some tidying up of the house! Also, my step-mom is coming over so I can show her some things that B and I bought with some money we got at the bridal shower. And then tonight we are having poker night!!

I’m LOVING life in general!!! After this past weekend, I have just been in an overall better mood! I’m not saying I was in a bad mood before, but just getting time to hangout with friends and family that I don’t see that much…words can not describe how much I enjoyed myself! I really hope I can start hanging out with my friends and family a lot more often that I currently do.

Have a great Wednesday everyone!!!
Nicole @ Two and Two is 4http://www.blogger.com/profile/02682064828197943678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8964522648278581313.post-44539950918545859682013-04-08T18:29:00.001-04:002013-04-08T18:29:31.391-04:00There it is!
Spring weather is finally here!! I had a half day of subbing this afternoon and when I walked outside to go to my car and leave…I was surprisingly shocked at how warm it was outside!! I was kinda bummed that I had to sub and work inside. But it was just a few hours and was over before I knew it. I loved driving home with my windows down!!

Then B made sausage on the grill and some tater tots in the deep fryer! We didn’t eat outside though because we have too many things to watch on our DVR. Maybe tomorrow night we can eat outside if it is nice out.

I had an awesome weekend that started with me spending the night at the airsoft field with B and his team Friday night. Then Saturday they had a scenario game that lasted about 11 hours!!! For the whole day, I followed around their photographer and got to see exactly what B does when he goes off and plays airsoft. It was awesome and I’m going to go again in June!!! His team and friends are great and I always have a good time when I’m around them!

I have a pretty easy rest of the week. I work at my cashier job tomorrow for 6 hours. Then I’m off from both jobs on Wednesday, full day of subbing and cashiering on Thursday, and a half day of subbing Friday with a cashier shift at night.

Then…on Saturday is my bridal shower and bachelorette party!!! I’m so excited to see who all is going to be there! I already know some people to expect but I don’t know who all will be there, so it’s cool that I will be somewhat surprised!! I’m so excited that I have off work on both Saturday and Sunday!! I haven’t had a full weekend off in so long!!!

Have a great rest of your Monday night and go outside and enjoy it if you can!!!
Nicole @ Two and Two is 4http://www.blogger.com/profile/02682064828197943678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8964522648278581313.post-83892545333777854212013-04-01T10:25:00.001-04:002013-04-01T10:26:02.153-04:00Monday Miscellany
So….did you know that when you get married, the woman has the hardest part? Changing her name!!! I had no idea that it will take at least 10 days to get a new drivers license! I thought that I would be able to go down to the DMV with my new social security card and get a new license all in the same day. But I guess not! I just got done making some phone calls to different places to find out what forms of documentation they need so I can change my name. My list includes: social security card, driver’s license, my bank, both jobs, my college loan, car insurance, and credit card. I hope I didn’t miss any.

I have a pretty easy week of subbing this week. Today I have a half day assignment in the afternoon for gym class. And the school it’s at is only K-2, so that should be really easy. Tomorrow I’m a floating sub in 3 grades for about 3 hours and 15 minutes. Then Wednesday I don’t work at either job so that will be really nice! Thursday is a split day between 1st and 2nd grades. And Friday is a full day of 5th grade.

Tomorrow I’m going to get the rest of the flowers for the wedding with my step-mom and her sister! We already got the flowers for the boutonnieres back in February but it was a bit too early and they didn’t have al of their spring flowers out yet. So I’m hoping that we can find the rest when we go tomorrow! I really want to have a bouquet like this one that I found on Pinterest. Anyone that knows me, knows that I love purple!!

Also…tomorrow night I have a Skype date with one of my bridesmaids and good friends from college!! Since college has ended, we’ve only gotten to hangout about 2 or 3 times. So it will be nice to Skype with her so we can catch up!! I’d like to start setting something up so we can hangout at least once a month, maybe twice!

That’s about all I’ve got for now. I’m gonna go do some cleaning up before I have to go to school. Have a great Monday everyone!!!
Nicole @ Two and Two is 4http://www.blogger.com/profile/02682064828197943678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8964522648278581313.post-55731639165699973712013-03-23T21:17:00.001-04:002013-04-18T19:32:09.298-04:00Zumba!A few months ago, B and I decided to trade in our Wii because we didn’t use it <strike>that much</strike> at all. We have an Xbox with Kinect that we use a little more than the Wii, but not a lot. But when we traded in the Wii, we got some Xbox games. I got Just Dance 4 and Zumba! I said I was going to play either game at least every other day…but that hasn’t happened. Well…this past Thursday I just started doing Zumba and I am going to do at least 20 minutes of it every day if I can. It just gives me so much energy!! After I’m finished with a workout, I feel so pumped up and ready to go!! It is going to be great to come home from a subbing job and do some Zumba before I go do a cashier shift at night. I just feel like I’m going to feel a little more awake with a 20 minute workout. I can’t wait until it gets warmer outside because then I can start going for bike rides and maybe even go for a run every now and then.
It’s not that I want or need to lose weight. I’m perfectly fine with my weight. I just want to get in shape. And I’m actually hoping I don’t lose too much weight because I already went for my first dress fitting and I don’t go back until April 26th to pick it up. I hope it still fits me perfectly and isn’t a little big.
And speaking of my wedding dress and wedding…it’s 7 weeks away!!! I can’t believe it! I went with my step-mom and aunt last night to go get flowers but it turned out that the place we went to changed its hours and was closed by the time we go there. So now we’re going back on April 2nd. I can’t wait!! I found this bouquet on Pinterest and I want to try to find flowers like it!!
Well, that’s all I’ve got for now. I’m looking forward to my early shift tomorrow, 7:30-3:30 pm. I like shifts like that because it doesn’t take up the whole day and night. Today I worked 10:30-6:30 and it wasn’t until about 7:30 that I had dinner ready and B and I were eating. Oh well, I had a kind of late lunch so I wasn’t hungry until 7:30 anyway. Have a great rest of your Saturday night!!Nicole @ Two and Two is 4http://www.blogger.com/profile/02682064828197943678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8964522648278581313.post-979045251945353002013-03-16T12:19:00.001-04:002013-03-16T12:19:57.584-04:00Goodbye Google Reader!
The other day when I read that Google Reader was being shut down, I gotta admit I was freaking out a little bit! Google Reader is how I read all the amazing blogs that I follow!! I had no idea how I was going to continue reading all of the blogs I follow. But I just read a post about bloglovin’! And let me tell you, if you haven’t checked out this site yet, you have to!! I looked for other sites to replace Google Reader and this one is by far the best out there! So I’ve added a link to the left side of my blog so you can still follow me once Google Reader is gone. Have a great Saturday everyone!!!
Nicole @ Two and Two is 4http://www.blogger.com/profile/02682064828197943678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8964522648278581313.post-24312738992803509032013-03-13T20:51:00.001-04:002013-03-13T20:51:11.102-04:00What I’m Loving Wednesday
Linking up with Jaime for What I’m Loving Wednesday.

I’m LOVING that we finally have found an officiant!!! See…we had one, but then when we switched the venue the time also go changed so that person couldn’t marry us because of a time confliction. Well then we were left with less than 10 weeks to go and no one to marry us. My awesome step-mom found someone yesterday and I’m sending the deposit and form to the person tomorrow!! Go figure that the one huge problem we would have with the wedding planning would be with the officiant, which is kinda a huge part of the whole wedding!!!

I’m LOVING that I finally get to sleep in tomorrow!! It’s another full week of subbing for me with tomorrow being the only half day of the week and it’s in the afternoon. 5 days of subbing in a row is rough because I’m still working my other job on the weekend so if I have a full week of subbing, that’s a lot of days of me working with no days off!!!

I’m LOVING the new season of Hell’s Kitchen. B and I started watching it earlier tonight and this looks like it’s going to be a great season!! We were 12 minutes in and we were on the edge of our seats!! We’ll have to wait until Friday night to finish the rest of the 2 hour premiere though.

And as always, I’m LOVING my wonderful fiance and our cats!! I’ve been picture crazy with the cats recently so here are some recent pics I took.

I have no idea what she was doing here. I kept calling her name and she wouldn’t even flinch. And she stayed in this position for a good minute or so.

Went back to my room and saw this…

She had her head down and was so much cuter before I took this pic. Did you know that a mason jar will fit on most blenders? I didn't until I saw this pin on Pinterest.

Source: thethriftymama.com via Amanda on Pinterest

Isn't that awesome??? I was going to do this the night I saw the pin but then something came up and we didn't have time.

So here is my blender and the 2 mason jars I have. I got them at a wedding as a favor so they're the only 2 I have. I may just have to put some on my wedding registry though, because I love them!!

So basically all you do is fill the jar with whatever you'd like to make a smoothie with. I added some frozen fruit, yogurt, ice, and milk. What I love is that the possibilities are endless!!! Oh, and what I love the most is that you can make one serving at a time! And if I want a different smoothie than B, I can make the kind he wants and the kind I want. With the second one I made I did that and it helped it to mix a lot better. Can’t do that with a regular blender now can you? Now I just recently saw on Pinterest that you can punch a hole in mason jar lids and you instantly have a to-go mason jar! I’ll need to get lids to do that, but that would be awesome!

Have a great Monday night everyone!!!
Nicole @ Two and Two is 4http://www.blogger.com/profile/02682064828197943678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8964522648278581313.post-19741669439187667302013-03-09T19:52:00.001-05:002013-03-09T19:52:56.343-05:00Where is the snow?
Well, the weathermen were wrong about the forecast yet again. They said we were going to get up to possibly 12 inches of snow on Wednesday but instead we got nothing!! And get this, most of the school districts in my area had a snow day!! A snow day but no snow! That must have been very disappointing for the kids who thought they would get to go sledding or make snowmen. It didn’t really make much of a difference for me because I didn’t have a subbing job that day. . All I had planned was my first dress fitting! And thanks to the snow not coming, I was still able to go!! It felt amazing putting that dress on again!

Speaking of my wedding dress, I can’t believe that B and I’s wedding is exactly 10 weeks away!!!! 10 weeks away from this exact moment we will be married and dancing away at our reception!!! I should probably be freaking out a little more than I am because I know that a lot still needs to get done, but I guess it just hasn’t caught up to me yet of how soon it actually is! I’d say in about a week or 2 from now that I’ll be freaking out!! One thing we really need to get confirmed is who is marrying us. When we changed venues the time of our wedding also got changed by an hour, so now the person that was going to marry us can’t because he has other plans that day. We have one possible person lined up but have to call her on Monday to see if she is available. Fingers crossed that she still is!!

To any brides out there, what were the last 10 weeks before the wedding like to you? Do you have any tips for me to stay calm while still getting the last of the plans finalized? Leave me comments! Have a great Saturday night everyone and don’t forget to turn your clocks forward tonight!!
Nicole @ Two and Two is 4http://www.blogger.com/profile/02682064828197943678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8964522648278581313.post-64686359500822237502013-03-04T19:08:00.001-05:002013-03-04T19:08:12.678-05:00It’s already March??!!??
Wow…this year seems like it’s just flying by!! It feels like just yesterday it was New Year’s day and now here we are, the third month of the year. So far it has been a pretty good year. Here’s a quick recap of my 2013 so far:

January:

On January 2nd I officially became a substitute teacher! Also on that day, one of my bridesmaids and I picked the dress for her and the other bridesmaids.

January 8th I had my first subbing job! It was only a half day, but still. Since then I’ve been getting a lot of subbing in, about 3 or 4 a week.

January 28th I turned 23…nothing really too special about that. B took me out to eat and only had to pay for himself because you get a free meal on your birthday there!! It stinks that neither of our birthdays will fall on a Saturday or Sunday anytime soon because we really want to go there for breakfast sometime!!

Oh, and I forget the exact date of this, but we went on our first date of the year from the “12 Dates of Christmas” that I gave B for Christmas. We went ice skating!!

February:

We finally secured a place for our reception!!! With it being about 3 months till the wedding in February, we were getting kind of nervous about where we were going to have the reception! We even considered our backyard!!! But luckily it didn’t have to come to that.

We finally figured out the timeline for our wedding. Our wonderful photographer met with us and pretty much planned the whole day out for us. He has gone above and beyond for us and we couldn’t be more grateful for that!!

We had our cake consultation and decided on what kind of cake we are having and what it is going to look like! I still need to decide what flowers we are using so I can tell them what kind of flowers I want on the cake and I need to get them swatches of color so they can match it to the cake.

And the last wedding thing that happened in February…I did my trial run for my hair. I really like how it turned out, but I might change one thing about it. I’m not telling though, because I’m not sure if B will read this and I want to keep it a secret from him.

And that’s about all the exciting things that have happened this year so far. We’re only 63 days into the year and I know that the best days of the year are yet to come! One of those days is 75 days away!!! I still can’t believe that it is almost here!! It will be here before I know it!!

Well, that’s all I’ve got for now. I’m going to go pin away on Pinterest until 8:00 when an all-new Switched at Birth comes on!! According to the previews, it will “change the way you see the world”. So stay tuned for a post about that! Have a great Monday night everyone!!

Aren’t they the cutest? I found them in my closet today laying like this..they’re best buds!!

Nicole @ Two and Two is 4http://www.blogger.com/profile/02682064828197943678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8964522648278581313.post-53414915261398004222013-02-22T20:05:00.001-05:002013-02-22T20:06:08.065-05:00Friday’s Letters
So it’s been a while since I wrote a “Friday’s Letters” posts and I’ve got a few things to write for it, so here goes…

Dear Vistaprint: Thank you for shipping our invitations to us a week before you said we would get them! Dear B: Please get me the remaining 2 addresses we need ASAP so I can send out the invitations! Dear weekend: It’s kinda awesome you are here, but not really because I work day shifts on both Saturday and Sunday. Dear spring: Please get here soon, I can’t take much more of this freezing cold weather!!! Dear May 18th: I would like you to get here even faster!!!
Nicole @ Two and Two is 4http://www.blogger.com/profile/02682064828197943678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8964522648278581313.post-82251566882956952402013-02-08T10:05:00.001-05:002013-02-08T10:08:46.599-05:0099 days to go!!!
We are finally in the double-digits for how many days are left until me and B’s wedding!!! I can’t believe it!! We got engaged in August of 2010 so it’s so hard to believe that we will be getting married in 99 days!!! I remember when it was like, over 800 days away!!!

So here’s where we’re at for our planning:

We’ve had our photographer for a while now, so that’s taken care of.

I have my dress and all the bridesmaids dresses and the flower girl dresses are ordered. We just need to figure out where we are getting all the tuxes from now.

We have the venue for the ceremony and reception. I just met with someone from the reception venue and got all the details worked out. Now we just need to decide on a time

We have the catering and menu. We still need to go in for a consultation for our cake, but they only need 4 weeks notice.

Now we need to order the invitations so that we can get them sent out.

And we need to buy the flowers.

We also need to figure out what decorations we need for the gazebo we are getting married in and the reception hall. My step-mom is making the centerpieces and my mom is going to get some buttermints for the favor boxes that she got.

So we are moving right along with our planning! We just need to figure out what time we are having the ceremony and reception and then we can order the invitations!! My goal is to have them sent out by March 1st, which is 3 weeks from now. That means that I have to order soon because they have to get to us first and then we’ll address them and send them out.

I just can’t believe that this is all coming together!!! I am so excited to say “I do” to the love of my life!!! Have a great Friday everyone!!!

This is one of our engagement pictures taken by our awesome photographer, Jeremy Bischoff.

Nicole @ Two and Two is 4http://www.blogger.com/profile/02682064828197943678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8964522648278581313.post-88293313557670481952013-02-06T09:18:00.001-05:002013-02-06T09:18:16.341-05:00What I’m Loving Wednesday
It’s Wednesday again…this week is going by fast!!!

I’m LOVING that today I get my first real paycheck from subbing!!! The first one I got only had one half day on it because it was near the end of a pay period, so that paycheck doesn’t really count. This second paycheck has 5 full days worth of subbing on it (some were full days and some were half) and I checked my account online, and it is over $400!!!! And I’m getting paid from my other job tomorrow, so that is awesome!!!

I’m LOVING that my local radio station finally opened up the voting for the cutest couple!!! They do this every year and we have yet to win. It’s more like a popularity contest though. Whoever has the most friends and family wins. But oh well, I’m still gonna try. Click on the picture below. Then you will have to enter your email and sign up. You can tell it to not send you emails so that you don’t get any emails from the radio station. Then we are couple number #173. I wasn’t expecting it to be easy but I didn’t realize that there would be some really good days and some really bad days. On Friday I had my first really bad day. I was in 3 different classrooms because they were having 3 grade level meetings for 3 of the grades. The first classroom I was in was fine, no problems what-so-ever. The next room…that’s where the problems began. The students were working on a problem solving packet and were working on 2 problems with a partner. When it came time to bring them back together to go over the problems, I just couldn’t do it. They didn’t want to listen to me. I had to have a student go to the office to get someone to come help me out. I thought that helped a little and at the time I think it did, but it didn’t last long. After lunch I was still with that class for a little longer. I tried to go over a quick review for a test they were taking, but again, the students were not listening to me, no matter what I did. So eventually I just said, “Ok, back to your desks. It’s time for the test.”

On to the next classroom…I was thinking positively that my last part of the day was going to go really well. Well, I was wrong. I brought the class back from their special and attempted to do a math lesson but the students weren’t listening. I know that some people may wonder if it wasn’t the class and that it was me that wasn’t able to control them, but that is not the case. And I know I’ve only been subbing for 3 weeks now, but before Friday, I have never been with a class that acted like those 2 classes did. I know that the reason they acted that way is simply because most of the time, students act up when they have a substitute. I don’t know why students do that, but it is just the way things are in life. When I get a full-time teaching job, I am going to do everything I can to get my students to behave for a substitute like they would for me.

So, here’s to hoping that this week goes much better for me than Friday did. Tomorrow I have a full day and then the rest of the week I just have half days. Have a great week everyone!!!

Seriously, who put this in students’ heads???

Source: lmaobruh.com via LaDonna on Pinterest

Nicole @ Two and Two is 4http://www.blogger.com/profile/02682064828197943678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8964522648278581313.post-64981618840279686572013-01-31T16:26:00.001-05:002013-01-31T16:26:57.651-05:00I’m half sick…
So I think that somehow I am “half sick”. If you’ve never heard that term before, it’s because I just made it up! What does it mean you ask? For the past few days, I’ve been sneezing a lot, but my nose isn’t really stuffy. I’ve been waking up with a sore throat, but I’m not coughing at all. It is just really weird! At first I thought I was getting a cold so I took some Airborne and drank some orange juice to get some extra vitamin C. But it’s weird how I don’t have a cold, just a half of a cold. I really hate this and I wish it would go away!! I just want to wake up tomorrow morning and be 100% better! But, I don’t think that is likely. So I’m just going to have to keep popping the cough drops and drinking water!! If anyone has any suggestions on what I can do to fight this “half cold”, leave me a comment and let me know!! Have a great rest of your Thursday everyone!!
Nicole @ Two and Two is 4http://www.blogger.com/profile/02682064828197943678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8964522648278581313.post-31153498009018897322013-01-28T21:39:00.001-05:002013-01-28T21:39:36.697-05:00Happy Birthday to Me!!
Well, I am officially 23!! I don’t really feel any different though. I just can’t believe that January is almost over! Where does the time go? Soon there will only be 3 months until my wedding!! When my fiance got home from work, he got a quick shower and then we went out to dinner where I got a free meal for my birthday! Then we came home and he passed out right away. He said he was going to take a nap, but that was 6:30 and now it is about 9:30, so he’s out for the night. I’m kinda sad that he went to bed so early because the next 3 nights I have to work till either 9 or 10, so I won’t get to see him that much. I really can’t wait till I get a full-time teaching job so that we will both be working during the day and then can spend our nights together. Oh well, right now I just need to work when I can. We have the rest of our lives to spend together so for now we just have to deal with not seeing each other a few nights a week.

Overall my birthday was pretty good. I stayed in my PJ’s until 3:30, did some wash, and watched some shows on my DVR. I also picked up 3 new subbing jobs today so I’m really excited about that! It is nice to have at least one day off during the school week so that I can pick up more subbing jobs. I find that most of the jobs get posted during the school day. I have 11 subbing jobs scheduled so far and my farthest one out is on May 3rd!! I also have one each in March and April! Let’s hope I can keep getting this many subbing jobs!

Well, that’s about all for now. Have a great rest of your Monday night everyone!!
Nicole @ Two and Two is 4http://www.blogger.com/profile/02682064828197943678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8964522648278581313.post-32132419074775152012013-01-27T21:18:00.001-05:002013-02-06T09:08:28.046-05:00Another year older…I’m not doing so good at keeping up with my blog like I said I was going to. I’ve been busy with subbing, working as a cashier, and cleaning up the house. So far this week I have 3 subbing jobs! Maybe I can pick up a 4th one, but I won’t be picking up one tomorrow cause tomorrow is my birthday!!! I’ll be the big 23!! It’s so weird because it doesn’t feel like it is my birthday. I guess since I hit 21, now there’s not really anything to look forward to age-wise. When I turned 16 I could drive, 18 I was considered an adult, 20 I was no longer a teenager, and 21 I could drink. Now that I’m 23, there isn’t really anything new that I can do that I couldn’t do before. But oh well. Another year older and another year wiser!!
I started crocheting again last night. I wanted to learn how to start something new, so I found a video on youtube to learn how to make the first loop and chain. I’m only doing the simplest stitch right now but maybe eventually I can learn more complex stitches. I’m working on a baby blanket that will be for my baby in the future. I’m making a blue one but should probably also work on a pink one in case I have a girl first. I would love to have a girl first, but who knows.

So that’s about it that’s new with me. I’ve been pinning a bunch on Pinterest recently so I’ll leave you with one of my favorite pins I've found recently.
This would be awesome to make after the wedding. And really simple, too. I think they sell wood blocks at AC Moore…

Friday night B and I went to a retirement party for his aunt and then spent the night at his sister’s place. It was nice seeing his family again. I have loved his family since the day I met them!! Then on Saturday I worked from 10:30-6:30. While I was at work, B made plans for us to go bowling with some of his friends. They were having a Rock and Bowl special from10-12:30. It was alright except for the music they were playing. Towards the end they started playing recent songs, but they played a lot of 80s music.

Then yesterday I didn’t work until 5:30 pm, so we decided to go to the gym in the morning. This was my 3rd time going to the gym with B and I’m feeling pretty good. I’m not trying to lose any weight, I just want to stay in shape. My future sister-in-law got me hooked onto Grey’s Anatomy (we watched the first 2 episodes on Friday night), so yesterday at the gym, while we rode the stationary bikes, I watched another episode on my iPhone. Then after the gym, we went home and B made us eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, and biscuits for brunch. Then we just relaxed for the rest of the day.

And that’s about it for my weekend. Now I’m just relaxing at home, doing some house work. I might go hangout with a friend later. I have subbing jobs the next 3 days, so Friday is the next day that I have to relax. Have a great Monday everyone!!!
Nicole @ Two and Two is 4http://www.blogger.com/profile/02682064828197943678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8964522648278581313.post-19973163263428959322013-01-14T20:32:00.002-05:002013-01-14T20:38:52.726-05:00Weekend RecapHey there bloggers! I had a great weekend!! The best day of the weekend was Sunday because I had off work!! B and I went on our first date of the year and the first date if the "12 Dates of Christmas" that I gave him for Christmas. What is that you are wondering? I took 12 Manila envelopes and in each one I had a note saying what the date of the month is. At the beginning of each month, we open the envelope and read what the date is, then plan it for sometime that month. January's date was ice skating!! I figured since I had off this past Sunday, what better time to go!

So after ice skating, we hit up BJ's to do some shopping. I got another Clearasil Perfectawash because mine broke!!! A few months ago I wrote a post about the Perfectawash. It's an automated thing that you put your hand under and then the perfect amount of face wash gets dispensed in your hands. It really works when I use it every morning and every night. And I don't always do that but I am determined to for at least the next 4 months because I want my face to be clear for the wedding!!! So get this, the Perfectawash system with the machine and 3 refills was only $5.30!!! Elsewhere you will pay $18 or more, so I definitely got a good deal!!
After that we went home and got changed to go to the gym!! B just recently signed up for a gym membership and is going in the morning before work. He can take one guest at a time for free, so I'm going to go with him every now and then. And the next time we go, I'm taking my kindle so I can do some reading while running on the treadmill!!
Well, that's about it for my weekend. Today I had a substitute position for a Pre-K class and that went really well. Tomorrow I'll be doing the same thing but it is in a different school district and it's only 4 hours long, so it will be a piece of cake!! Have a great rest of your Monday night everyone!! It’s a great way to save money all year long. And it’s only the second week of the year, so it isn’t too late to get started.

So what you do, is each week you put aside the amount of money that goes with the week number. So week 25, you would save $25, week 26 you save $26, etc. But Nicole had the great idea of choosing a random amount and then crossing that amount off so that you still end up with the same amount at the end of the year, but you can save more when you are able and less when you need to. At the end of the year, you end up with $1,378. And I decided what I’m going to do with the money! I’m going to use it for a down payment on a new (used) car. My car is a 2000 and I’ve had it since 2006, so I’m going to eventually need a new one. I know that $1,378 isn’t a lot for a down payment, so I’m going to try to save even more and double some of the amounts when possible.

So who’s with me on using this to save some extra money this year? You have to wait a whole year, 52 weeks (well, after this week, only 50 more) to actually use the money, but won’t that extra $1,378 (or more) be worth it in the end? I think so!! So let me know what you think of this and if you can think of any other ways to tweak it a bit.
Nicole @ Two and Two is 4http://www.blogger.com/profile/02682064828197943678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8964522648278581313.post-32662712590952930902013-01-09T22:38:00.001-05:002013-01-09T22:38:57.616-05:00What I’m Loving Wednesday

My first WILW post of the year and in a long time!!! So here goes…

I’m LOVING the Jobulator app. If you are a substitute teacher using Aesop, you definitely want to have this app!! You get alerted immediately when a sub position becomes available! And the jobs are gone within seconds!! Tonight I’ve seen a ton of jobs come up, but could only take 2 of them! The other ones were for tomorrow and Friday, and I already work day shift as a cashier. But starting on Monday, I’ll be working night shift, so I can start taking all the subbing positions I can!! So I picked up a subbing job for next Thursday and the Thursday after that!!

I’m LOVING 2013 so far!! I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again…2013 is going to be one of my best years yet!! I’m getting married in 4 months and I’m starting the next chapter in my life so I’m excited!!!

I’m LOVING that I rekindled a friendship with someone that I was friends with in high school! We’ve only hungout once so far, but it’s not going to be a one time thing!

And as always, I’m LOVING my amazing fiancé, which from this post on, I’m going to refer to as B (short for Billy).

Have a great rest of your night everyone!!
Nicole @ Two and Two is 4http://www.blogger.com/profile/02682064828197943678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8964522648278581313.post-5642377439863278162013-01-07T21:10:00.000-05:002013-01-07T21:10:22.333-05:00Happy Monday!Hey there blogging world!! It looks like I'm doing pretty good so far on my New Years resolution of blogging more because my last post was 4 days ago, not 4 months ago! I'm also doing pretty good with another resolution. Today I hungout with a friend from high school that I haven't seen in at least 4 years. She has a 3 (almost 4 year old) daughter that I never met today so I know it has been at least 4 years since I saw my friend last. I'm really glad that I got to see her today and I hope we continue talking and hanging out. As I mentioned in my last post, I need some good friends in my life so I'm glad that I got at least one of them back!
So my friend, her daughter, and I did some errands today. My fiancé and I got some money for Christmas and I wanted to use that to do some grocery shopping. So of course, I waited until I saw the best deals in the ads and I couponed!! I saved 54% at the first store and 41% at the second store. I'm no "Extreme Couponer", but I'm still saving money so that's all that matters!! I got us a bunch of frozen vegetables, some pizzas, toaster strudels, meat. Oh, and the best deal I got was 5 General Mills cereals for $5!! They had a deal that if you bought 4 you would get $2 off. Then I had a coupon for $1 off 2 and another coupon for $1 off 3. So once you put that all together, it came out to be $1 for each cereal!!
Well, that was about the extent of my day. I also stopped at Barnes and Noble to use a gift card. I didn't know what I was going to get because I read all of my books on my Kindle. So I decided to get some kids books that I can have in my future classroom. I ended up getting Dear Mr. Henshaw by Beverly Cleary, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Ronald Dahl, and two books from the Magic Tree House series: High Tide in Hawaii and Tonight on the Titanic (because I love Titanic!!!) Have a great rest of your night everyone!!Nicole @ Two and Two is 4http://www.blogger.com/profile/02682064828197943678noreply@blogger.com0
