Review: Secret Smooth Effects

I think I may have found the deodorant that I want to use for the rest of my life!! Secret Smooth Effects deodorant is great because it actually reduces the visual appearance of hair and makes hair look and feel finer. So because of that, you will shave less often! I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and I saw results within the first week! I think any woman would agree that shaving is a big pain in the butt! And we all use deodorant on a daily basis (or so I would hope), so why not use a deodorant that makes hair finer so that you have to shave less often? It is a solid deodorant, it’s white, but I’ve found that it doesn’t really show up that much. I’ve always hated using solid deodorant in the past because it always says that it goes on invisible, but then it never does. So I used to use Secret Scent Expressions Clear Gel. But now that I’ve found the Smooth Effects, I’m never using anything else!! I forget how much I paid for it but it was definitely under $5.

The words at the top (“Shave Less Often”) are definitely what sold me on the product!!! My next product review will be for a lotion that you put on your legs to help you shave your legs less often, so look out for that!! And one of my friends gave me the perfect idea. Before I post my review, I’m going to go about 12 days without using it and keep track of how many times I shave. Then I’ll go 12 more days with using it and see how many times I shave then. It’ll be like I’m doing the project I had to do for my behavior management class, where we had to collect data on something and then implement an intervention plan. I know that the lotion works, I just want to take the data to actually see it in action and to show my readers!

Review: Carbona 2 in 1 Oxy-Powered Carpet Cleaner

So I’m moving out of my dorm on Friday and our furniture needs to be a specific way. I was moving around my furniture today when I noticed a stain on my carpet. I think it was from a Vitamin Water that I had either this semester or the fall semester. So I decided to go to Walmart to find some stain remover and I found Carbona 2 in 1 Oxy-Powered Carpet Cleaner. And let me tell you, it worked like a charm!100_1935

The bottle comes with a brush attached to the top. Before you use it for the very first time, you twist off the cap to take of the seal underneath. Then you squeeze the bottle a little bit so that the solution goes onto the brush. You rub it into the stained area, wait 3 minutes, then remove the excess product with a cloth or sponge. I didn’t need to do the last part because there was nothing left behind.

So, without further ado…here are the before and after pictures.

Stains

I just wanted to point out that those two pictures were taken of the same spot because you see that spot in the red circle in both pictures. That was where the one of the feet of my bed sat for the entire year. Plus I wanted to put the pictures side by side cause it’s just so cool to see the difference.

Some more information about Carbona 2-in 1 Oxy-Powered Carpet cleaner: It removes tough stains including coffee, cola, grease, fruit juice, red wine, feces, urine, vomit, and other common household stains. It works quickly and effectively and is safe to use around pets and children. Another plus is that is it biodegradable. I think the price is a reasonable price at $3.92 for a 25.5 oz bottle. That’s definitely a lot cheaper than what it would have cost if I got fined from housing for not cleaning up the stain.

I went onto Carbona’s site and they have a ton of stain removers, household cleaners, laundry care, and carpet cleaners. They even have a feature on their site called The Stain Clinic where you can select the type of stain you want to remove and the type of fabric the stain is on. Then it will recommend one of their products that can get that stain out.  I highly recommend this brand for any of your cleaning needs.
