I’m half sick…

So I think that somehow I am “half sick”. If you’ve never heard that term before, it’s because I just made it up! What does it mean you ask? For the past few days, I’ve been sneezing a lot, but my nose isn’t really stuffy. I’ve been waking up with a sore throat, but I’m not coughing at all. It is just really weird! At first I thought I was getting a cold so I took some Airborne and drank some orange juice to get some extra vitamin C. But it’s weird how I don’t have a cold, just a half of a cold. I really hate this and I wish it would go away!! I just want to wake up tomorrow morning and be 100% better! But, I don’t think that is likely. So I’m just going to have to keep popping the cough drops and drinking water!! If anyone has any suggestions on what I can do to fight this “half cold”, leave me a comment and let me know!! Have a great rest of your Thursday everyone!!

Night 2 of The X-Factor Premier

Welcome to night two of The X-Factor premier. First up is Ashley who claims to be a “starving artist”, but said she isn’t really starving. Wow, she is one of those delusional people who think they can sing, but they can’t!! She’s also one of those people that can’t take no for an answer. You’re never gonna make it in the music business, just give up!!!

I thought that Caitlynne was kinda good. I agree with Nicole that she has room to grow though. I thought that was sweet of Paula to go up on the stage to comfort her. She’s only 16 though, so so definitely has time to improve and try again.

Next up is Nick, who is currently unemployed because he took 2 days off work to audition for The X-Factor. I think that’s horrible!! He’s a great singer!!! So Nick is the first one we see get through from Miami. Will the good singers keep on coming?

Jeremiah sounded amazing!!! It’s not too often that you hear a guy that can sing that high! The crowd seemed to love him and so did the judges!!!

Melanie was even more amazing!!! She definitely  has it!!! How come she hasn’t auditioned for Idol before??

Ken…I mean Jonny, was up next. When Simon asked him who he looks like, he goes “Justin Bieber” and Simon says “No, Barbie’s boyfriend”, haha!! I think with some work on his voice, he could probably be really good. He had a good personality, but not quite the right voice for the show.

I think it was hilarious how Nicole ketp sayiing “Y’all” to everyone and kept asking herself, “Did I just say “Y’all?” I guess being down south can have you talking like they do down there.

Dylan totally surprised me!!! This guy sold his truck so he could buy a plane ticked to get to the audition. I thought that because of that, he was going to be good but guess what….he sucked!!! About every 5 words out of his mouth was a swear word!!! I seriously can’t believe he sold his truck so he could do there and do that!! I guess some people really will do anything to get their 15 minutes of fame! (Or shame in his case!)

Caitlin, the rugby coach, was really good!!! She sang a different version of “Stop in the Name of Love”, a slowed down version of the song.

Side note, I love the commercial with Simon where he throws all of the phones and says “Rubbish” to all of them. Which phone is the one that he keeps and says is the best? Oh yeah, that would be Verizon!!! My fiance is getting his own cell plan soon and I kept trying to convince him to switch to Verizon, but he won’t. He is getting Sprint, which means when I get on his plan eventually, I’ll have to switch to Sprint. I mean, I guess it makes sense because they are the cheapest, but I’ve never had a problem with Verizon, so why would I switch? Oh well, as long as the services is ok.

Back to the show…this guy Xander, who Simon keeps calling Alexander (which is his real name but he doesn’t like it), is kind of annoying!! I didn’t like the first song he sang, but I kinda liked the second one. Wow…he didn’t make it through. I really thought that Paula was going to say yes!!

Week one of The X-Factor has come to an end. I wish we would have seen a lot more younger kids audition. The age limit starts at 13, so it would be pretty cool to see 13 year olds audition. Oh well, we still have more auditions to see, so maybe there will be more. So, what did you think? I heard today that last night’s episode got half the ratings that Idol did this past season!! Do you think it will pick up more viewers?

What I’m Loving…plus Pinterest!!!

So I didn’t do a Pinterest Wednesday post yesterday, but it’s not too late. It’s been a while since I’ve pinned anything, but last night I found a few items I liked. So here they are, enjoy!

This would be awesome to have in my future house someday!!!

I totally need something like this to keep my tupperwear lids organized!!!

I was looking for some ideas for my future classroom and I found this. Isn’t that cute??

Alright, off to what I’m LOVING today!!! There is just one main thing…

I’m LOVING that I finally got a new job!!! I’m going to be a cashier!!! I can’t wait!!! Getting that call has totally made my week, maybe even my month!!!!

Well, that’s all for now. The 2 night premier of The X-Factor is on at 8 tonight, so make sure you check out my recap post of that then. Have a great night everyone!!!

My class is finally over!!!!

My class ended tonight and I am pleased to say that my unofficial grade is an 86%!!! I say unofficial because grades won’t be posted for a few weeks. But with my calculations, it comes out to an 86%!!!! That puts me at a B which makes me happy!!! Now I don’t know what I’m going to do on Tuesday and Thursday nights. It’s going to be so weird on Tuesday when I don’t have to leave at 4:00 to go to class. Maybe I can use that time to clean up the house a little bit, do dishes, blog…oh the possibilities are endless!!!

On my way home from class I stopped at Acmoore. I wanted to get some more supplies for my Etsy shop,  Nicole's Creations. I also bought more paint so now I have all of the basic colors. Go check out what I’ve got and leave me any suggestions on anything you’d like to see me attempt to make.

Oh, bought some stuff to make a coupon binder so I’m going to finish making that and then I will post about that tomorrow!! Have a great rest of your night everyone!!!

The hotel is booked!!!

We were originally going to be going to the beach for 3 nights. Well, now we are only going for 2 nights. See, I booked the hotel for 3 nights and then I got a call from the site that I booked it from saying that the hotel is already booked on the 3rd night. Apparently they got booked on the 3rd night we wanted to stay there and forgot to put it in their system, so that’s how I was able to book all 3 nights. So, I just had them keep the 2 night stay and we will just be leaving the beach a day sooner than we were going to. Which is alright for me. It’s only about $115 for the 2 nights. I think our goal for the trip is to spend less than $300. I think that is completely possible. We are going to take bread and lunch meat and other food so we won’t have to eat out a lot while we’re there. The hotel doesn’t have a fridge so we will just have to take a cooler and keep it stocked with ice to keep everything cold. So, if you take our $300 budget minus the $115 for the hotel that leaves us with $185. I want to eat at the Rainforest Cafe while we’re there, so I’m going to guess that it’ll be around $40 for that. Now we are down to $145. I’d say we could spend around $30 for the few groceries we’ll be taking with us, which gives us $115 to spend on the boardwalk. We might not even need that much but it’s better to over guess than under guess.

I am so looking forward to this beach trip! It’s been 2 years since my fiancĂ© and I have been to the beach. I’ve been working 6 days a week which is more than I’ve worked in the past summers. I normally get 2 days off work but for some reason this year I’m only getting 1. It will just be so nice to get away and relax for a few days!!! Also, my summer class is over in a week and I’ve been working so hard in it so I deserve a little vacation!

Don’t forget to enter my current giveaways. One of them doesn’t have any entries at the moment so your chances of winning are really good right now!!! Have a great Thursday everyone!

Wow!!

Wow…I can’t believe what I see when I go to my stats page. Did I seriously get 2,020 page views in April so far? I just wanted to thank all of my followers for joining me on my blogging experience and reading what I have to say. When I first started blogging back in the October of last year, I didn’t think I was going to get that many followers or page views. I am now up to 79 followers!! So again, thank you very much for all the support! If anyone reading this would like to be a guest blogger for my blog or would like to have me as a guest blogger, just let me know.

I think a lot of why I’m getting more views is that I’m starting to post more and I’ve started joining in blog hops. So thank you to everyone who starts those blog hops and to those who actually check out the blogs that are on those lists. When I started blogging I didn’t have a real plan on when I was going to write. I knew that I wanted to write about just random things. So then I just started writing reviews of TV shows I watch such as American Idol, Teen Mom, and Glee. Then I decided to start a weekly post titled “Would You Rather Wednesday” where I give a scenario with two options and I have a poll on my blog that people can vote on. That has been going pretty well. If anyone has any suggestions for that, email me and let me know! Then this week I just started “Idols- Where are they now?” I don’t really have a schedule for when these posts will be posted so it’ll just be whenever I have time or feel like posting one. I just thought it would be interesting to find out where the past Idol finalists are now and then share that information with my followers.

So again, thank you to everyone who reads my blog. Please email me with any comments, suggestions, questions, or anything else! I haven’t gotten any responses from my contact form yet, so please check that out!

I’m linking up to some blog hops today, so welcome to any new followers I may get!

And lastly, I just wanted to say thank you to all of the new followers!!! If anyone has any suggestions for my blog, please let me know! I’ve added a form that you can find under the “Contact Me” page, so check it out!!  Have a great Thursday everyone!!

Registration time again...

So, it's that time of the semester again...registration. I'm going into my senior year so I thought that it would be a breeze when I went to register. Well, I was wrong. When I've registered in the past, it never failed that I had a class fill up before I got to register. This time, a class got canceled because of the Governor's budget cuts. Now there will only be one section of the class instead of two. And the one that got canceled was the one that I needed. I need to take a night class in the fall so I can't take the other one, which is during the day. Luckily I found out that they will be offering 2 sections of the class in the spring, so I'm hoping one of them will be a night class.

So, I just registered for my first professional block. For those not familiar with block, it is what education majors have to take before student teaching. Since I am a special education/elementary education dual major, there are 2 semesters of block that I must take before student teaching. I just can't believe that I'm so close to my senior year!!! Three semesters left and then I'll be graduating!!!! Have a great Thursday everyone!!!
