About Me

Hi, thanks for stopping by my blog! Let me take a few minutes to tell you a little bit about myself and my life!

This is me and my fiance (whom I will tell you about in a little bit).

I am currently a college student studying elementary and special education and will be student teaching in the fall! I don't know where the last 4 years went! I've lived in Pennsylvania my whole life and I'm probably going to live here forever. It's just what I've known all my life and all of my family live within an hour or 2 from me (except for my one aunt, uncle, and 3 cousins). I love being somewhere that is familiar to me.

When I'm not blogging, I love catching up on some of my favorite TV shows: American Idol, Glee, Switched at Birth, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, and way too many more to list here. I also love reading, listening to music, couponing, and spending time with my family and friends.

Now onto my fiance, Billy. We've been together for a little over 3 years now and I couldn't be happier! Before I met him, I thought I was never going to find the one for me, but I did! And after being together for about a year and 4 months, he proposed!
Here is me showing off my engagement ring right after he proposed!

And here we are, the newly engaged couple!
The way  he proposed was a total shock! Here is the story:

One summer day in August of 2010, my dad, my step-mom and I were going over to his house so that my dad and step-mom could meet his mom for the first time. We had a little cookout out back, it was nice. After we ate, Billy and his mom went inside to get dessert. When they came back, he was carrying a bowl of fortune cookies. He said that everyone else had to take one first and I had to pick mine last. When it was my turn,  I went to grab one and he was like "No, you don't want that one" so I kept digging. I had no idea what was going on! He kept telling me to keep looking until I finally found a metal fortune cookie. This was the moment that I realized what was happening. So after struggling to open it up, I got it open and inside was a piece of metal with "Nicole, will you marry me?" engraved on it. Of course I said yes! Then he went into the storage closet and got a tiara, a dozen roses, and the ring and got down on one knee and asked me again, and again, I said "YES!"  It was all a complete surprise! I had been hinting to him all summer that I wanted it to happen before I went back to school in that fall, but as the end of summer was approaching, I didn't think it was going to happen. He totally caught me off guard and I'm glad he did!

So now we are planning for our wedding which will be in May of 2013. I cannot wait until the day I walk down the aisle to my future husband!! Then after that, I hope to start my first teaching job in the fall of 2013 and teach for 2 years before starting a family. Yep, I've pretty much got my life planned out. I love planning things!

Oh, before you go, you have to meet our current babies...Mila and Mia!
I'm not saying that when we have real babies that we won't have Milo and Mia anymore. We will definitely have them in our family forever! But until we have real babies, Milo and Mia are the closest thing! They are definitely 2 spoiled kittens! And like babies, they grow up way too fast! Mia will be a year in August and Milo will be a year in September.

So there you go, a little bit about me. Read my blog for more as I write about random things going on in my life! Thank you for joining me on the ride of my life!!
