I Said Yes to the Dress!!!

So yesterday Sunday I went wedding dress shopping and I said yes to the dress!!! We went to one place at 12 and then had another appointment at another place at 2. We didn’t really like the second place that much because they didn’t do much. All they did was welcome us and ask what I was looking for then they let me loose to check out some dresses and pull ones I wanted to try on. I was so glad we went to the other place first, otherwise I wouldn’t have even known where to start at the second place. I thought they would be picking the dresses for me like the first place did.

After we were done at the second place, I decided that I wanted to go back to the first place to get the dress that I loved! When I tried on the dress the first time I sorta got a feeling that it was my dress. I guess trying on others I realized that I wasn’t going to find another one that made me feel the same way that my dress did. So we got back to the first place and I tried the dress on again and I was smiling a lot more that time I had it on! That is when I knew it was my dress!!! I can’t believe that it only took me one day to find my dress!!! I probably only tried on about 20 dresses or so. I thought it would have taken a lot more than that!

I can’t wait until my dress comes in so I can go pick it up and try it on again!!! I know that my fiancé is going to love it as much as I do! Another thing I’m surprised about is that I didn’t cry at all yesterday. Maybe all the tears are just saving up for my wedding day. I know the water works are going to be going then! Why, Hello There!!

Wow, I haven’t blogged since January 4th!! At one point I thought about not blogging again, but then I changed my mind. I enjoy blogging so that’s why I’m writing a post now. And I know I’ve said it before, but I’m really going to stick with it this time. So, now it’s time for an update!
So, remember in my last post I posted about how we got this guy:

Well, we went to the Humane League and got him a friend!!!

Meet Mia…

At first they didn’t get along that well, but they are doing just fine now. The Humane League got her in as a stray just 3 days before we went to see her and they estimate her to be about 6 months old. We think she may be a little older than that though because she’s a lot bigger than Milo, who is 5 months old.
Here is one of the few pictures I’ve gotten with both of them. Mia loves that box!!

Oh wait, I can’t forget about Mia’s other favorite place…the bathtub!!!
Now we have to make sure we check the tub before taking a shower.
So, I guess that’s about all that's new. I’m still busy with work and classes. But this semester it is just a lot of busy work that doesn’t really take that long to do. I’m kind of bored this semester. Oh wait, one other thing. I’m going wedding dress shopping in May!!!! I know it’s about 2 months away, but I have to pick a date now so that everyone can get off work so they can come. There might be up to 8 people going!!! I don’t think that’s too many though. I’ve seen a lot more people go dress shopping with the bride on Say Yes to the Dress. Speaking off…I’m going to have to start watching more episodes of Say Yes to the Dress! That and get together some pictures from magazines!!!!

I went to see ‘Bridesmaids’ with my bridesmaids!!

Actually, I should change the title to “I went to see ‘Bridesmaids’ with one of my bridesmaids”, because I only went with one. I was supposed to be going with all of them, but the one was at the beach and the other had a headache. But oh well, I still went to see it with one of them and we had a great time! First she came over to my place and we watched a few episodes of “Say Yes To The Dress”. Then I put in a VCR tape that I got from Burger King many, many years ago…a Backstreet Boys video!!! It’s just a 45 minute video that shows some live performances from BSB and shows some behind the scenes stuff. I figured we would watch a little bit of it to get us ready for the NKOTBSB  concert in July!!!!

So, besides that and work, that was my weekend. We had my dad and step-mom over for dinner.

I attempted to make a Rachael Ray recipe. It’s called baked shells casserole. Here is the picture from the site:

The only thing I didn’t have (besides some spices) was the medium or large shell pasta. I used rotelle pasta instead which didn’t really make a difference because it’s about the same size. Next time I make this recipe, I would definitely make some changes. Instead of making the sauce with 2 cans of crushed tomatoes, onions, garlic, and some spices, I think I’ll just use store bought sauce. And instead of 2 boxes of spinach, I’ll use just one and then put in a pound of ground beef. That suggestion was thanks to my step-mom, so I’ll give her the credit for that!
