11 days!!

I can’t believe that the wedding is only 11 days away now!! Things are moving right along and we have almost everything done!

It has been a little over a week since we got rid of the cable and DVR and I’m not missing it at all. I can still watch all the shows I used to record and watch. Plus I’ve started watching some shows that I may not have seen every episode of, such as Reba and Sabrina the Teenage Witch. My future-sister-in-law got me into Grey’s Anatomy and I finally finished the first season of it and am on the second!

This is a busy week for me with work. I’m subbing every day this week with today being my only half day. Then I also work my second job every night this week, except for last night. Then on Saturday I have a vendor show with Scentsy all day. Saturday night I’m going out with B and some of his friends to celebrate a 21st birthday, so that should be fun! After that I work 3 more days and then I’m off for a week!!! I may not be bloggng that much within the next few weeks but I will definitely post all about it when I get the chance! Have a great rest of your week everyone!!

22 days!!!

It’s been a while since I posted about the wedding. I can’t believe it is 22 days away!!! Today I am getting my trial makeup session done and…picking up my dress!!! I am so excited to try it on one last time before the big day!!

It is now that I am starting to freak out a little bit because I am now realizing how much stuff still needs to get done and how little time we have left! (3 weeks!!!!) The most important thing we need to do is go get our marriage license. We have to be at the place by 4:15 to get it and most nights B is only getting off work around 4. But we’ll figure it out. Hopefully there is time today to get it in-between me getting my trial make up done and picking up my dress.

I just still can’t believe that after being engaged for about 2 years and 9 months…the big day is less than a month away!! It has been a looooong wait and a wait that will definitely be worth it in the end!!! Any advice for a bride with 3 weeks to go until the big day? Leave me some comments and enjoy your Friday everyone!! The weekend is here!!

Goodbye DVR

So almost a year ago I wrote a post saying I was contemplating whether or not B and I should get DVR (click here to read that post). Then the day after I posted that, I posted another one (click here) saying that we weren’t getting it. But then about 4 months later we decided to get it because our cable company was having a special on it (read that post here).

As much as I love my DVR, it is time to say goodbye. B and I have been looking at ways that we can save money and getting rid of the DVR and cable is one way to do that. Yes, I said we are also getting rid of our cable. I just looked through my DVR the other day at all the shows I watch and record and realized that I can watch all of them online. So I thought, “why are we paying for cable and the DVR when I can just watch all my shows online?”

So…we already have a subscription to Netflix so we will use that a lot more. We are also going to get a subscription to Hulu Plus. Oh, and B is building a computer to hook up to the TV in the living room so we can watch Hulu and Netflix out there. He also ordered a device for the TV in our room so we can do the same thing. Yes it was a bit expensive for everything he had to order for those 2 things. But it will pay for itself in about a year and make it worth it.

One thing I was wondering about was how I was going to keep track of what shows had new episodes that I need to watch. Well…of course there is an app for that! The one I found is called TV Tracker.

At first I downloaded the lite version of it for free but you can only add 2 shows with that. So for 99 cents I upgraded to the full version. As you can see below, once you add your shows, the number in green on the right shows you how many episodes of that show you have to watch. (Yes I know, I’m WAY behind on the Vampire Diaries and Dancing with the Stars. I’ll get caught up with Hulu!)

Then when you click on the show, it will show the icon saying “The End” with an open curtain on the shows you have seen and a closed curtain on shows you need to watch still. This app is going to be so useful for me and maybe one of the best 99 cents I’ve spent on an app!!

So…starting on Saturday, B and I will no longer have our DVR or cable! But we’ll be ok…Hulu and Netflix are all we need. Oh and each other of course Smile Have a great rest of your Wednesday everyone!!!

What would you like to see?

What would you like to see on my blog? I know I have some followers out there but I haven’t been hearing from any of them recently and I am just wondering what my followers think is missing from my blog. Now I’m not promising that I will give you all absolutely everything you want, because it is after all, my blog. I get to decide what I write and put on here.

But I would like to know what I can do to keep you, my followers, coming back to read more. I enjoy writing and connecting with people. I follow so many blogs that I really enjoy reading and I kind of feel like I know them, when really I don’t know them other than their picture and words.

So please leave me a comment or email me at IdolFan2890@gmail.com and let me know what you think my blog is missing. Thank you and have a great rest of your Thursday evening! The weekend is almost here!!
