Our vacation {Part 1}

So, last Wednesday night, I spent the night at my aunt’s house because one of my other aunt’s and cousins were down for the week. I finally got to tell my aunt that she is my matron of honor, so if you missed that post, check that out here. I left Thursday around 11:30 and got back a little after 12. I had pretty much everything packed, so there wasn’t that much to do before we left. My fiancé tricked me and said that I had a lot of dishes to do before we left, when actually he did them for me! Isn’t he amazing?!?!

So here we are, ready to leave for the beach!!!

After the 2 and a half hour drive, we finally made it to the hotel!!! We left on the right day because we hardly had any traffic!! We saw traffic in the opposite direction of the highway and were so glad that we weren’t in that traffic!! Oh, a random thing we saw on the way there. I think it was when we passed through Philly. We missed the turn we were supposed to make onto a highway because it was really confusing, so we had to turn around and then we got back on track. Well, we saw a place that did divorces and it said that your spouses’ signature wasn’t needed. That is ridiculous!!! So someone could just walk in there and get a divorce from their husband or wife and they wouldn’t have to agree to it? I just think that is horrible!!!

Here are some pictures of our room. I was reading reviews online and was getting mixed reviews. Some people said the hotel was really good and they’d go there again and others said to never stay at this hotel. We kind of didn’t know what to expect, but we liked what we saw!

The only problem we had with our room was that the light bulb in the lamp on my side of the bed was out, so we switched it with the other one in the other lamp so that I could read a little bit before bed. But I think that we would definitely go back to this hotel because it was about 5 minutes from the boardwalk. And it was a straight shot from the hotel to the boardwalk, so easy to get there.

The name of the hotel was Travelodge Bayside, so it makes sense that there was a bay right behind it. The next picture is our view from the hotel. The next two after that were taken from the pool which is right beside the bay. It was really nice!!!

So, that was day one of our vacation. I thought we would stay at the pool for a while, but we only ended up staying there for about an hour or so. After that, we found a Kmart so we ventured out there and bought a bigger cooler. I also got a bottle of nail polish because it’s been a while since I’ve painted my nails! There was a Taco Bell near Kmart so we stopped there for dinner. It was really good, but more expensive than the Taco Bell near us at home. So we went back to the hotel, ate our food from Taco Bell, and spent the rest of the night relaxing.

Make sure you come back tomorrow for part 2 of our vacation with more pictures and stories!!!
Have a great Monday!!!
