Alright, so I’ve got a huge paper due in a week that I’m freaking out about, so I’m going to be watching the songs online tonight while working on my paper. Tonight the theme is movie songs, so this should be a good week.
So up first was Paul singing “Old Time Rock and Roll”. What is up with his outfits? This one is worse than the one with flowers on it. Maybe there are flowers on this one, too, I’m not sure. But I think he sounded good. He still isn’t one of my favorites but I think his voice is alright. I can’t see him winning though, maybe he’ll make it a couple more weeks.
Next was Lauren singing “The Climb”. At first I thought, “How is this a song from the movies?” But then realized it was in The Hannah Montana Movie so I guess that counts since that is a movie. I loved her outfit and I loved her singing!!! She is an amazing singer and will definitely make it to the finale, there’s no way that she won’t!!
Up next was “End of the Road” by Stefano. I’m not familiar with this song, but I thought he did a great job with it. Oh wait, I do know this song. Sometimes I don’t know a song by the title, so when I hear it I’m like “Wait, I do know this song!” I really loved when he sang “When a Man Loves a Woman” last week, but I think I may like this one a little better, he did a great job!
Scotty was next singing “Cross My Heart”. This is a song that I never heard before. But I really liked it!!! He is definitely going to be in the finale along with Lauren, he just has to be!
Next was Casey with “Nature Boy”. It still bugs me that the judges had to use the save on him because they could have used it last week on Pia. But there is nothing anyone can do about it now, so we might as well not dwell on the past. I wasn’t really digging this performance. I thought it was kind of boring. I think it’s totally different from anything he’s done on the show before.
Haley sang “Call Me”. I’m kind of surprised that she is still here. She sounds like she’s singing karaoke when she sings, so I totally agree with Randy when he said it felt like karaoke. I think this may be her week to go. Put yet again, I will probably be wrong because I think some people are calling her the underdog. And she keeps getting through each week so she has the fans to get her the votes. Eventually she will leave though, so with the performances I’ve seen so far, I’m gonna say that she is leaving. But there are still two more contestants left, so I could change my mind. (Well, really one more person that could possibly leave since I know it won’t be James that leaves)
Jacob sang next with “Bridge Over Troubled Water”. This song choice makes sense to him, since a gospel choir goes great with this song. I’m waiting for the choir to come out because I know it’s going to happen, he always has a choir behind him. I think the vocals sound great and I think he’ll be safe this week. He may be in the bottom 3 though. No choir during this performance? Wow…that’s different.
And last but not least, another one of my favorites, James with “Heavy Metal”. I can already tell my the name of the song that he’s probably going to do a great job with this one. This is yet another song that I never heard before, but I really liked it. The song fit him perfectly!!! He is definitely safe!
So now comes the hard part, deciding who will be in the bottom 3. I’m going to say Haley, Casey, and Paul. And I’m gonna take it back that I said Haley was going to leave. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that Paul will leave. But who knows, I could be wrong. This season just has so much talent that it is hard to predict who is leaving.
So who were your favorites tonight? Who do you think will be leaving us? Leave me comments!
