Weekend Recap

Well, another weekend is gone. Friday night B and I went to a retirement party for his aunt and then spent the night at his sister’s place. It was nice seeing his family again. I have loved his family since the day I met them!! Then on Saturday I worked from 10:30-6:30. While I was at work, B made plans for us to go bowling with some of his friends. They were having a Rock and Bowl special from10-12:30. It was alright except for the music they were playing. Towards the end they started playing recent songs, but they played a lot of 80s music.

Then yesterday I didn’t work until 5:30 pm, so we decided to go to the gym in the morning. This was my 3rd time going to the gym with B and I’m feeling pretty good. I’m not trying to lose any weight, I just want to stay in shape. My future sister-in-law got me hooked onto Grey’s Anatomy (we watched the first 2 episodes on Friday night), so yesterday at the gym, while we rode the stationary bikes, I watched another episode on my iPhone. Then after the gym, we went home and B made us eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, and biscuits for brunch. Then we just relaxed for the rest of the day.

And that’s about it for my weekend. Now I’m just relaxing at home, doing some house work. I might go hangout with a friend later. I have subbing jobs the next 3 days, so Friday is the next day that I have to relax. Have a great Monday everyone!!!

Weekend Recap

Hey there bloggers! I had a great weekend!! The best day of the weekend was Sunday because I had off work!! B and I went on our first date of the year and the first date if the "12 Dates of Christmas" that I gave him for Christmas. What is that you are wondering? I took 12 Manila envelopes and in each one I had a note saying what the date of the month is. At the beginning of each month, we open the envelope and read what the date is, then plan it for sometime that month. January's date was ice skating!! I figured since I had off this past Sunday, what better time to go!

So after ice skating, we hit up BJ's to do some shopping. I got another Clearasil Perfectawash because mine broke!!! A few months ago I wrote a post about the Perfectawash. It's an automated thing that you put your hand under and then the perfect amount of face wash gets dispensed in your hands. It really works when I use it every morning and every night. And I don't always do that but I am determined to for at least the next 4 months because I want my face to be clear for the wedding!!! So get this, the Perfectawash system with the machine and 3 refills was only $5.30!!! Elsewhere you will pay $18 or more, so I definitely got a good deal!!
After that we went home and got changed to go to the gym!! B just recently signed up for a gym membership and is going in the morning before work. He can take one guest at a time for free, so I'm going to go with him every now and then. And the next time we go, I'm taking my kindle so I can do some reading while running on the treadmill!!
Well, that's about it for my weekend. Today I had a substitute position for a Pre-K class and that went really well. Tomorrow I'll be doing the same thing but it is in a different school district and it's only 4 hours long, so it will be a piece of cake!! Have a great rest of your Monday night everyone!!

Weekend Recap

Hey everyone, I hope you had a great weekend!!! We finally got some information on the regulations for having an above ground pool and they are that if you have a 4 foot or higher pool, you don’t need a fence. So I went to the borough office this morning right when they opened to fill out a building permit application. Well, it turns out, it may take up to a week before we hear anything from them. That really stinks because we were planning on getting the pool set up tonight and having it filled by the end of the week. My fingers are crossed that I’ll hear something today or at least by tomorrow, but I’m not really holding my breath. All I wanna do is swim!!! Is that too much to ask for??? I still don’t understand why we even need a building permit for a freakin’ pool!!! Ugh!!!! It’s my property, so why can’t I do what I want? I could see if I was building onto my house, but that’s not what I wanna do. All I want to do is set up a pool!

Alright, I’m done venting now. My weekend just consisted of working, as always. I’m off today so I’m just catching up on some shows on my DVR and since it is nice outside, I think I’ll go sit on my deck and read! Leave me your comments! Have a great Monday!!

Weekend Recap

I’ve had a pretty busy weekend!! Friday night I worked a 4-hour shift and then I did the same thing on Saturday afternoon. I came home, made dinner, ate dinner, then worked on school work. Today, I didn’t work until 5:30 so I had all day to do whatever! Well, my fiancé and I decided to go to Lowes and here is what we bought…100_4122 Yup, we got some gardening things!! And when we got home, we decided that we couldn’t wait and wanted to start working in the garden right away. If you remember from this post, me, my fiancé, and my dad dug up the sod from the garden a few weeks ago. The next step was to get a rototiller to till the soil. We didn’t want to buy or rent one because it’s expensive. And if we would have gotten a rototiller anyway, we probably would have broken it! As we were digging through the soil, we found a bunch of rocks and roots! Yeah it will take us longer to do it without a rototiller, but it’s a lot cheaper!
Here is the semi-before picture (Note to self: take pictures before starting something, not right after)100_4123
We just focused on the one side of the garden. Before going to Lowes to get our supplies, my fiancé measured it and it is 16 ft by 10 ft!!100_4124
Just so you could kinda see what the soil is like, I took a picture of me holding some soil and it falling out of my hand. It is so soft and workable! 100_4127
As I mentioned before, there were a ton of rocks in the soil. I kept the bigger ones and put them in a box. I’m planning on doing something with them, but I’m not sure exactly what yet. I think I’ll check out Pinterest and see if I can find any ideas on there.100_4129
One more picture…here is what the garden looks like now. You can definitely tell the difference between both sides of the garden. (If you can’t tell, the right side is the side we just worked on)100_4132
So now, since I’m on spring break this week and because the weather is supposed to be gorgeous this week, I’m going to try and get out to the garden a little bit so I can keep working at getting more of those dang rocks out of it.
That was my weekend…so what exciting things did you do this past weekend? Leave me a comment and let me know!!!

Weekend Recap

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve written a weekend recap post, so I decided to write one this past weekend. I had a great time this weekend! After Friday at work, I knew I was going to need a fun and relaxing weekend. I only worked 4 hours on Friday, 12-4, and thought it would be a breeze. Well, I thought wrong. I was on drive-thru all day and it was nothing but non-stop all day long! When 4:00 came along, I couldn’t be happier!!

So then on Saturday I had off work!!! It was supposed to be a “surprise” birthday party for my step-mom, but her sister never sent out the invitations. So it just ended up being me, my fiance, my step-mom, her sister, her sister’s husband, and their 2 kids. It was a fun day at the pool!! The weather could have been a little nicer, but we still got to swim and at least the rain, thunder, and lightening decided to wait until around the time we were leaving. So then we all went home, got showers, ate dinner, and went down to my aunt’s house for game night.

Then yesterday I worked from 12-5 and then right from work went to a friend’s jewelry party. I’m still thinking about getting a bracelet, but I probably won’t end up getting it because I don’t wear that much different jewelry.

Then the rest of the night I spent relaxing. I watched Big Brother, which got delayed due to stupid golf! I signed up for the live feeds through CBS so I can see the houseguests 24/7. It is really cool even though it sucks sometimes because of the time difference. Like right now as I’m writing this, it is 9:00 am here, but only 6:00 am in California, so all they are doing is sleeping. But it’s still really cool to see what is going on whenever you want to watch.

So, now I’m going to wait patiently until my package from Scentsy gets here! And then I work at 4, yippy. I work night shift this whole week and I hate it! But oh well. Have a great Monday everyone!!!
