“Tell me it’s the real thing…”

At one of the parks near me, they have had 3 different concerts this summer and they are all free. Well, the last one is this coming Tuesday and my mom and I were planning on going. Then I found out from the teacher I’m student teaching for that they are having a parents back to school night from 6-8 on the same night as the concert. I was pretty bummed!! But my mom is still going to the concert and then coming over afterwards and spending the night.

Well…I checked my email last night and my teacher emailed me saying that the open house is on Thursday!! So that means I can go to the concert on Tuesday night with my mom!!! Well, who is singing at the concert you are asking, why it’s Bo Bice, the runner-up from season 4 of American Idol!!! Now while he wasn’t one of my absolute favorites from the show, I’m still a fan and really excited to be going!!!! Normally me, my mom, and fiance go see the American Idols Live Tour every year, but this year we didn’t really care for any of the contestants. Plus, we wanted to save ourselves money by not going because we have to save for our wedding. Well it turns out, the Idol concert we would have gone to anyway, is this Tuesday, the same day of the Bo Bice concert. So I still get to go to at least one concert this year, and the best part is that it is free!!!

Now I am going to go listen to Bo’s songs from my iTunes while I go do the dishes! I will be sure to post all about the concert next Wednesday. Have a great Friday everyone!!!

At a loss for words…

Hey everyone! It seems like it’s been forever since I’ve blogged. I’m just so busy that I’m finding it hard to have time for blogging. I know I said that in my last post (and maybe the post before) but I’m going to try blogging more, starting today!

So let’s see…it’s Friday!!! Not that the day of the week means anything to me because I work pretty much all week. This week I had off Wednesday and Thursday though. Wednesday was the American Idol concert!!! I go to it every year with my mom and fiancé. It used to be just my mom, but since my fiancé got into Idol for me, he tags along, too. Here are some pictures from the concert.

So, that was the highlight of my week. Oh, I had another Scentsy party last night. I had 2 people show up to this one which is better than my launch party where no one showed up. And I have a total of 3 orders so far!! I should hopefully be getting 2 or 3 more before Tuesday!!!

Our vacation- {Part 5}

Well, this is the last part to the recap of me and my fiancé's vacation.

After checking out from the hotel around 9:00, we headed back to the boardwalk. We were a bit ahead of schedule here because we planned on checking out closer to 12 before going to the boardwalk. But oh well, we didn’t want to wait. So the first thing we did was check out an arcade. The big claw game with the Angry Birds stuffed animals was what drew in my fiancé! He is addicted to that game! The first time he tried to win a stuffed animal, he had it, but then the claw dropped it. Then the 2nd time, it stayed in the claw and he won!!! He loves his bird and will randomly throw it at me and say, “Angry Bird attack!!!” Lol…whatever makes him happy! :)The arcade was on a pier, so I go to take more awesome pictures of the beach!!!

Me: “They don’t surf on the East coast"
lol…I had said that sometime during our trip and was proven wrong when we saw a bunch of surfers. I just never saw anyone surfing on an East coast beach before.
 

So, we left the boardwalk around noon to start our journey home. It’s hard to believe that a week ago right now, we were at the beach. I can’t wait till next year when we can go back and we can actually go into the casinos!!!! We really want to stay at one of the hotels on the boardwalk, so we’ll have to start saving our money sooner! I had said before that I thought we could do this trip with $300 or less, well, I think I was a little off. I’m not sure what the grand total is, but I’m sure it was closer to $400.
