What would you like to see?

What would you like to see on my blog? I know I have some followers out there but I haven’t been hearing from any of them recently and I am just wondering what my followers think is missing from my blog. Now I’m not promising that I will give you all absolutely everything you want, because it is after all, my blog. I get to decide what I write and put on here.

But I would like to know what I can do to keep you, my followers, coming back to read more. I enjoy writing and connecting with people. I follow so many blogs that I really enjoy reading and I kind of feel like I know them, when really I don’t know them other than their picture and words.

So please leave me a comment or email me at IdolFan2890@gmail.com and let me know what you think my blog is missing. Thank you and have a great rest of your Thursday evening! The weekend is almost here!!

Sorry for being MIA…

So, I’ve been MIA from the blogging world for the past few days. As you found out in this post, I became a Scentsy consultant so I’ve been busy with that. Also, on Saturday was the NKOTBSB concert. I ended up getting a bunch of free tickets from my fiance’s cousin’s family friend. And let me tell you, the seats were a lot better than the seats we had already bought months ago!! I gave some of the tickets to some friends but most of them I couldn’t give away. Who knew that it was going to be so hard to give away Backstreet Boys tickets. If it had been 10 years ago, they would have been gone in a heartbeat!!! Here are a few of my favorite pictures. I took a total of 664 pictures that I somehow narrowed down to 360 items by deleting the bad pictures.

You would have never guessed it, but we weren’t actually as close as it seems we are in the pictures. Here is a view of the audience that I took that shows a little better how far we up. I absolutely love my camera because of the digital zoom it has!!!

Also, sorry for all of the pictures. I know I said a “few” of my favorites, but I’d post every picture if i could! It was really hard for me to just pick a few as my favorites!! It was the first time Is saw BSB, so I guess I thought I had to go picture crazy since I finally got to live my childhood dream!!

Then today my fiance and I went to Hersheypark. If you have a concert ticket from any Hershey event, you can get a discount at Hersheypark the day before, day of, or day after the concert. So we definitely took advantage of that!! We had a great day filled with water and rollercoasters!!!

So now I’m ready for another week to begin. And I can’t believe that it’s August already!!!! I’m going to try to keep up with blogging more. But bare with me as I’m going to be trying to kick start my Scentsy business. I’m having my launch party later this week so I hope that goes well. Oh, and now I am only 25 followers away from 300 and another giveaway!!! I hope you all had a great Monday and a good start to your week!!

Weekend Recap

I know it’s Tuesday, but better late than never, right? Alright so what did I do this past weekend? Saturday my fiancĂ© drove me to work and then picked me up so we could go up to his cousin’s house right away. It was his cousin’s wife’s birthday party. After that we went over to his sister’s place and spent the night. The one thing that sucked was that the next day, Sunday, we had to wake up at 6, leave by 7, and then I had to work at 8. We went to bed around 12:30 so we got about 6 hours of sleep. I drank some coffee and didn’t feel too tired after that. After work my dad and step-mom came up for dinner and we had this…

chili12

That wasn’t the actual chili we had, but it looks pretty close. We had that same kind of cheese. My fiance made it and it was really good!!! It had a little bit of a kick to it, but maybe that was just me because I’m not into spicy things.

Last night, I met a girl that my fiance works with. Me, her, and a friend met at the bowling ally because they were having ladies night and it was free bowling from 6-9. What we didn’t know was that we had to go to a bunch of different venders and have them stamp or initial our paper so we could enter to win door prizes. That was fun though. I’m actually thinking about selling Scentsy, but I’m not sure yet. After we were done looking at all of the venders, and my new friend booked 2 different jewelry parties,  we went and bowled our 2 free games.

And now it is Tuesday. I was supposed to work at 12, but yesterday my manager asked if I could come in at 10. He said I might not work till 5 though, so that’s a plus!!

And don’t forget that I’m trying to get 300 followers and then I’ll do another giveaway!!! I’m at 273 right now so I only need 27 followers!  I’m going to see how many of my current followers can refer new followers to my blog. Here’s how it’s going to work:

When you refer someone, have them email me telling me that they were referred by you. And make sure they tell me your name or it won't count. Once I get to 300 followers, I will see who has the most referrals and then the top 3 will get to fill out the entry option on the Rafflecopter form called "Refer a friend", which will be worth 3 entries. I will be sure to email those 3 people so they can do that entry. And if anyone fills out that entry that isn't one of the top 3, I will delete those entries. I hope you all have fun with this and good luck!!!!

Have a great Tuesday everyone!!!!

Applesauce carrot cake and a trip to the pool

I was reading some blog posts last night and there was one from Sarah at First Comes Love where she shared a recipe from an app she has on her iPhone. I was curious as to what app that was so I commented asking her and she replied and told me it is called “Spark Recipes”. It is an app with easy and healthy recipes. So I downloaded it and I was browsing through the drinks to see if I could find any new smoothies to make. Well, one of them had applesauce in it so I decided to browse for recipes with applesauce in them because I know we have 2 jars of applesauce, both unopened. One of the very first recipes I found was applesauce carrot cake. I looked at the ingredients and I had everything you need for it! I just bought 3 lbs of carrots (3 1 lb bags) last night so I thought this would be a good way to use up some of them. They have a feature on the app where you can view the recipe online and read what other people think about that recipe. I was seeing some of them that said they increased the amount of applesauce to a full cup so I decided to do that. Others also added 1/4 cup of milk because it was too dry. I definitely needed to add the milk because it was way too dry without it. Another big thing was the baking time. The recipe says to bake it at 350 degrees for about 1 hour and 10 minutes. I thought this was too long and apparently so did other people. They suggest 45-50 minutes for a 9’’ x 13’’ pan. I put mine in and set the timer for 40 minutes but when I checked it with 10 minutes left it looked done. So the bake time was 30 minutes.

I had two containers of icing but they go with the 2 boxes of cake mix I have. I decided to make some icing with a recipe from Spark Recipes. I typed in icing and I found one called “Tasty Carrot Cake Icing”. It is meant to go with the recipe for “Tasty Carrot Cake”, but I figured it would taste just as good with the recipe I made my carrot cake with. The icing only calls for 3 ingredients,  only 2 of which I had to go buy, so it couldn’t get any easier than that.

So I made the cake and then around 5:30 me and one of my bridesmaids went to the pool!!! We were going to go earlier but she had to work until 4 instead of 2. But going later worked out because instead of the regular price of $8, after 5:30 it only cost $4 to get into the pool!! Before we went to the pool, we stopped at K-mart because I wanted to use the coupon for buy one get one free suntan lotion that came in the Sunday paper. It was about $10 and I had about $10 worth of K-mart rewards points so I just paid less than $1 for 2 bottles of suntan lotion!!!

We had a great time at the pool!! I really hope I got some sun because I am so white!!! I think I may have gotten some sun. It was nice to get to hangout with my bridesmaid because even though we work together, we hardly ever hangout outside of work. We definitely have to do that again sometime soon!!!

We stayed till about 7 and then I came home and made dinner. Nothing too fancy, just a hamburger helper and a rice side. Then my fiancé and I tried a piece of my carrot cake and we both love it!!!

So now I am just going to relax the rest of the night, maybe catch up on reading some blogs. I’ve been pretty good recently on not having a ton of posts to read. I just noticed the other day that I have 248 followers now, so thank you to the new followers!!! My next goal is 300, so when I reach that goal I will do another giveaway!! Have a great night everyone!!!
