Bachelorette Recap- Final 8 Guys

Hey there, ready for another Bachelorette recap? This week they were in Croatia. By the previews from last week and the intro, it looks like it is going to be a great episode! So here we go!

The first one-on-one date was with Travis. If you remember from the first episode, this is the guy with the ostrich egg that Emily eventually smashed (with Travis’ permission). They walked around the city and did some shopping. I just don’t see a connection between them. Yes he’s a good guy, but just don’t see any sparks flying between them. Travis says he feels a connection, but Emily doesn’t because she sent him home.

The group date was the rest of the guys minus Ryan, which means that Ryan went on the second one-on-one date. For the group date, they went to see Disney/Pixar’s new movie, Brave. After the movie, they competed in their very own Highland Games, which is something from the movie I guess. And the funny thing is, the guys all had to wear kilts! Seeing the guys compete against each other in the games was pretty funny. And even though Chris wasn’t the best at the events, Emily named him the “Bravest”. And at the end of the date, he ended up getting the rose. Then they shared a kiss, with the other guys watching nearby.

I never had a problem with Ryan until this episode. Wow, he’s just…I don’t really know how to describe him. He’s just so full of himself. I don’t remember when, but Emily said that he called her a trophy wife, which she doesn’t like. And again, he brought that up again. She isn’t really sure about him and neither am I. I think I liked Ryan in earlier episodes, but now I think that she deserves better than him. And she thought so too, because she sent him packing. And he didn’t take it that well because he questioned her on why she was sending him home. He doesn’t think that she is going to find someone, wow.

After she sent him home, Arie snuck out to go see Emily. Since she didn’t give the rose to Ryan, she gave it to Arie, which I thought was cute! She said he had to hide the rose from the rest of the guys. I think he is the one for Emily! They are just so cute together and there is definitely a connection there!!

Time for the rose ceremony! She’s down to 6 guys and each week the decision on who to send home is becoming harder and harder. The roses went to: Sean, Jef, Arie, and…after stepping outside to talk to the host, she realized that she couldn’t hand out the final rose. But then, she got handed an extra rose so she could give both John and Doug a rose. At first I thought that maybe she would send them both home! That would have been crazy! I think out of the 6 guys left, that Jef, Arie, and Doug are the best 3 for Emily. I’m predicting now that it is going to be one of those 3 that she ends up with in the end! But we’ll just have to wait and see!!!

The Bachelorette Heads to Bermuda!

This week on the Bachelorette, they headed to Bermuda!! There will be 3 dates: an individual date, group date, and 2 on 1 date. And on the group date, if they don’t get a rose, they are headed home immediately.

Doug is the one to get the individual date and they walked around town for a little and did some shopping. They are so cute together! Emily got a postcard to send to Doug’s son, Austin. I thought that was really thoughtful of her! At dinner, Emily tried to dig deeper and figure out more about Doug. She thinks that he is just giving him perfect answers and not honest answers. But then he asked her for her faults and she said that it was hard coming up with them on the spot so she realized how he felt when she was asking him what his faults were. In the end, she gave him a rose so he is safe this week! It seemed a little awkward at the end. Doug was saying in a side interview that he isn’t going to make the first move to kiss Emily and that if she wants a kiss, she will have to make the first move. The look on her face made it seem like she was a little disappointed that he didn’t make the first move and kiss her.

On to the group date…they did some sailing! The guys were split in half and took part in a Bermuda match race! The winners would get to spend more time with Emily while the losers were headed back to the hotel. One group almost tipped their boat over! I don’t think any of the guys had any experience with sailing. I’m glad that Arie and Jef were part of the winning team. Emily seems to have a connection with both of them.

Next was the date that the guys were dreading…the 2 on 1 date with John and Nate. And at the end of this date, someone will be going home! They went to an island called Diving Board Island where they jumped off a cliff into the water! It looked like so much fun!! I would love to be able to do that someday! After that, they went into a cave to have dinner. That looked amazing!! The whole date was really awkward! I bet Emily felt a little better when she got the chance to talk to Nate alone for a little bit. I don’t think Emily and Nate have gotten to spend as much time together as she has with some of the other guys. I’m just not seeing any connection between them. And Emily didn’t see that connection either because John got the rose, sending Nate packing.

Surprisingly, Alejandro got a rose. I haven’t seen any connection between them. Maybe she just wants to keep him so she can spend more time with him. The 2 guys going home were Michael and Charlie. I think that was a good choice because she never connected with either of them.

Next week they head to London, England. I can’t wait for next week! Things are getting really good!!! One thing that is going to happen next week is that one of the guys tells Emily that one of the guys referred to Ricki as baggage. I really hope she finds out who that guy is and gets rid of him! I guess we’ll have to wait until next Monday night to find out!

Week 2 of the Bachelorette

The episode starts out by showing Emily and Ricki meet up with some family and friends. I said it in my post last week, but that is awesome that they filmed in her hometown so she gets to be with her daughter. Next the guys found out that Ryan was the first one chosen to go on a date with Emily. Some guys will go on individual dates and others will be on group dates. And for some guys, it may be their first and last date with Emily. Others will get a rose and be safe and then there will be some that don’t get a date at all.

Ha…Ryan was expecting some big, glamorous date with Emily. And all they did was bring in groceries and bake cookies. She even put an apron on him. I thought that was a great idea for a date. That’s going to be what Emily’s husband is going to be doing every day. I loved that she didn’t introduce Ryan to her daughter. He made a good point that she shouldn’t be introducing every guy to her daughter. Maybe later on in the competition when they’re down to maybe 2 or 3, maybe that’s when she will introduce Ricki to the guys left. At the end of the date, Ryan got a rose and is safe this week!

Wow…the group date is Emily with 13 guys! That is a lot of guys! They are going to be doing some performing and most of the guys don’t seem to excited about that. But when they see Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, that gets them excited! Fuzzy Bear shows up then and tells a few of the guys that they are going to be doing some stand-up comedy. Charlie is terrified of public speaking so he went to talk to Emily about not doing that. She totally understood that and allowed him to switch to the singing group. Then it was time for the show to begin. I thought that was really great. The proceeds from the show went to charity so it was for a great cause! At one point during the show, Emily brought her daughter up on the stage as Kermit and Miss Piggy sang “Rainbow Connection”. At the end of the night, once Emily got to talk to some of the guys individually, the rose went to Jef.

The next date she has was an individual date with Joe. They got into a plane and headed to Emily’s home state, West Virginia. When Emily is on the dates, they go back to the house sometimes and show the guys talking while the other guy is on the date. I always think that is great seeing the guys interact with each other. And throughout this episode, there is one guy that sticks out to me that I really don’t like…Kalon. Back to the date…they spent the day at a fancy hotel that Emily used to visit with her family. They did a little swimming then later they got dressed up and had a fancy meal. After talking to him some and getting to know him a little better, she realizes that she doesn’t see how he fits into her life and how she fits into his. So Joe is the first guy to leave this week.

The guys got one last chance to get to talk to Emily and make sure they make a connection with her so they can get a rose at the rose ceremony. Well, looks like Kalon is going to be there for at least another week. I bet the other guys are not too excited about that. The 2 guys who did not get a rose were Aaron and Kyle.

And that ends another episode of the Bachelorette. Next week it looks like they go to a theme park and Dolly Parton surprises Emily and one of the guys. I’m looking forward to that! Leave me your comments and let me know what you thought of this weeks show.

The final auditions!!!

We have reached the end of the auditions. Well, almost. After tonight’s show, the auditions are over. First up we have a kid that says if you give him 5 more years, he’ll be bigger than Jay-Z. Alright, we’ll see about that. I have no idea why, but he started to pick a fight with Simon. That was very strange. And something you don’t want to do when you’re auditioning for Simon. So he’s a rapper, I guess he’s alright. Rap really isn’t my thing, so I wouldn’t buy a CD if he had one out. I do think he would do really good though because I think a lot of other people are going to like him.

Part of me feels really bad for the people who truly believe they are good, but they really aren’t. Like, seriously…if I was really, really bad, I would hope that someone would love me enough to tell me not to try out for a show like this. I know that no one wants to tell people, especially their friends and family, that they suck at singing, but sometimes you just have to tell them anyway.

Cashmere is yet another contestant who really thinks she can sing, but she can’t. She says that she does karaoke and her friends and family and even people she doesn’t know, scream for her when she sings. Well, I think she interpreted that screaming in the wrong way.

This next duo looks cute. Their names are Austin and Emily and they call themselves Awesem. I’m not sure if that’s how it is spelled though. I think they area really good!!! I can’t believe the judges want to split them up!! They are both good, why can’t they see that?? Well, after what seemed like forever, Nicole finally said yes and so did Paula, giving them 4 yeses.

I can tell that I’m so over the auditions because I’m not really paying too much attention to the auditions right now. It gets like Idol, the auditions get old after a while. And there haven’t even been as many nights of auditions for this show as there are for Idol. I’m just ready to get to the next step of the competition!!!

So as soon as I saw Brennin I thought “He looks like he’s already famous”. Well, it turns out he is a model. That makes sense. He took a risk and sang an original song that he wrote. I thought he was really good!!!

Well, the audition process is finally over!!! And that’s all I’ve got for now. Have a great rest of your night everyone!!!

It’s time for The X-Factor

It looks like it’s gonna be a good night of auditions tonight!! The first duo up are really good friends that have been singing together for 4 years. I love how  Brock said that he loves Makenna but she just doesn’t know it yet. Well, I think after her seeing this episode tonight, that she knows!! They look so cute together and I think they should be dating! I really liked their performance!! I’m not sure if I can see them going too far though, because I think both of their voices could use some work. But I’m glad to see them go through!!

So the guy that said he was there for the money, he was awful! I can’t remember his name, that’s how unmemorable he was, haha!! I don’t know what the judges see in him and why they said yes. Wow! Oh well, he won’t last that long!!

Paula has gone crazy, but she is awesome!!! I’m glad she is on TV again! And working yet again with Simon is going to be fun to watch! I forgot how much I enjoyed watching them together on Idol.

Josh really surprised me!! When he said he was singing “At Last”, I said “what the heck is a guy like him doing singing a girly love song?” But you know what, it was really good!!! He got 3,335 yeses, according to Simon. That is awesome!!! I think he can make it pretty far in the competition!!

Next up is The Good Girls, a mother-daughter duo. That was torturous to listen to!!! I agree with Simon, was that serious??

This girl’s name is Drew, that’s very interesting. I’ve never heard the name Drew for a girl. We find out in her clip before she sings that she is a huge Justin Bieber fan. And of course it’s fitting that she sang “Baby”. She slowed it down a little and I thought she was great!! Nicole and Simon both said they liked her version of the song more than Justin’s!!! LA loved it as well!! I really hope she makes it far and gets to meet Justin Bieber someday, she really deserves it!!

Peet seems interesting. His parents are dwarfs and he is the only normal sized person in his family. I also remember him saying that he wants to be a teen heartthrob. I don’t know how that will be possible because he’s 21. His voice definitely needs some work!!! Maybe with a few voice lessons he could become better.

I don’t think Elaine Gibbs, a wedding singer,  will be singing at weddings for much longer. Or if she does, people will be paying her a lot of money to do so! She is really good!!

Alright, that about wraps it up for this episode of The X-Factor. Have a great rest of your night everyone!!

Goodbye Gosselin’s

I just got done watching the Kate Plus 8 series finale. And I have to say, I’m kind of sad. I love the Goesslin family!!! The show was a joy to watch. Of course there were times I watched the show and thought, “Wow!!”, but I think every show is like that at some point. One thing that the show made me think about was, how different would their life be if they never did the show? Of course it would be completely different!! I’m just glad that Kate finally decided it was time to get those kids of TV.

So what are your thoughts on the Gosselin family? Did you watch the series finale?

I feel bad for her…

I thought I would never say this, but I feel bad for Kate Gosselin. I was watching the newest episode of Kate Plus 8 last week where she was in NYC celebrating her birthday with her friend Jamie. They went out to dinner and then went to a club to go dancing. But you could tell that Kate wasn’t really into it that much. They were sitting at the club and then a guy comes up to Kate and starts talking to her. This is the part that makes me feel bad for her. That guy wasn’t going up to her because he wants to get to know her and date her. All he sees is a famous person and cameras. He just wants to go up to her and talk to her because he knows that he will get his 15 minutes of fame. The same thing happens on the show Teen Mom. Guys are only interested in the single girls on the show because they know that if they are seen with them, they might get on TV. I would really hate to be in their position because you would never know when a person likes you for you and not for who you are. I guess this goes for any celebrity really. So I’m not entirely sure why I feel bad for Kate, but I don’t feel bad for any other celebrity. Does anyone want to help me figure this out? Does it make sense that I feel bad for her and not any other celebrity? Leave me comments and let me know what you think.

Do you wanna be on TV?

If you answered yes to that question, then today is your lucky day! Well, maybe…if you can audition for any of these shows, then your dream of being a reality TV star may only be an audition away. Here’s an article I found on yahoo’s main page.

Audition to Become a Reality TV Star: A List of Shows Seeking Contestants

By Amy and Nancy Harrington, Pop Culture Passionistas, Yahoo! Contributor Network
"The Bachelor" on ABC
Brad Womack recently proposed to Emily Maynard in the "most dramatic rose ceremony ever." But before the last petal falls off the stem, ABC is casting the next set of potential young lovers. If you want to find the man or woman of your dreams while America watches, check out "The Bachelor" casting website. Applicants must be single, over 18, and not running for any political office (that's what it says, folks). There will be open casting calls in nine major cities during the months of May and June. To date the only location announced is a New York City audition on June 23. And if you're not interested yourself but have an idea for the perfect candidate, you can also nominate someone — and they don't even have to know. Check the casting site for more details and to find an audition in a city near you.
"The X Factor" on Fox
Simon Cowell is at it again. This time he's filling in Fox's programming gap between seasons of his old show, "American Idol." On his new star-locating vehicle, "The X Factor," Cowell is looking for performers ages 12 and up with that "it" quality. Do you have it? There are open calls in six cities nationwide beginning on Sunday, March 27, in Los Angeles. The Miami, Newark, Seattle, Chicago, and Dallas auditions take place in the following weeks through May 26. To attend an audition you must go to the venue the day before to get a wristband and seating assignment. The day of, be prepared to sing a verse and a chorus of three songs. All paperwork that needs to be filled out prior to the audition is available at "The X Factor" casting site.
"The Biggest Loser" on NBC
Do you have more than 100 pounds to shed and want to do it on national TV with Bob Harper kicking your butt? The in-person casting calls are over, but it's not too late for a video submission. The deadline is April 8. Visit "The Biggest Loser" casting site for an application and instructions for shooting the tape. They want to see your personality, get to know you and your routine, learn why you need to lose weight, and find out some of your favorite foods and places to eat. If you're ready to change your life, it's not too late.
"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" on ABC
If your home is in need of major renovations and you have a compelling, tug-at-your-heartstrings kind of story, you may qualify to be featured on "Extreme Makeover." The producers are looking for "inspirational and deserving" candidates who can't afford to update their homes to livable standards. Or if you know of a worthy applicant, friends or even total strangers can nominate a potential family. The application process is ongoing, so there is no deadline to enter, but it can take several months to hear back after a tape has been submitted. The paperwork involves details about your family and your home, what kinds of repairs you need, why you are in your current situation, and what you do to give back to your community. And if you can't afford a video camera, you can submit photos. For more information and to download an application, visit the "Extreme Makeover" casting site.
"Face Off" on Syfy
Syfy's new competition series "Face Off" just crowned its freshmen year winner, Conor McCullagh. Now the show has been green lit for a second season and is looking for up-and-coming special effects makeup artists. Contestants can be trained or self-taught, but the competition is stiff and the challenges are difficult. If you think you have the imagination and the chops to create creatures and full character transformations, visit the "Face Off" casting site for an application. It asks questions about your makeup skills as well as interpersonal questions, like how you get along with others and whether you have a good relationship with your family. Competitors live in a loft with other designers, after all, so producers need to see how the characters will mesh (or not). Then bring the application to one of two open casting calls being held on Saturday, April 9, in New York or Sunday, April 10, in Los Angeles, where you will be asked to create special effects makeup on yourself. Callbacks are the following day in each city. If you can't make it to L.A. or New York, you can submit an audition tape showing your makeup transformation. Online submissions are due by Tuesday, April 12.
