Hey there…

So, I haven’t been blogging that much recently. Here I thought that since it was summer and I don’t have any classes to worry about, that I’d get to blog more. Well, apparently I’ve been busier than I thought I would be. Sunday night and Monday night, 2 of my cousins spent the night and I just took them home last night. Now I have to work until 3 today and then my fiance and I are going to my aunt and uncle’s house for a 4th of July cookout. Then tomorrow I work a 12 hour shift, Friday work 4 hours, Saturday I work another 12 hours, and on Sunday I work 4 and a half. So I’m going to be pretty busy the next few days!!! It stinks that there are only 2 days out of the next 4 days that I can actually swim in my pool. But oh well, next week I’ll be able to swim in it everyday except for Sunday (another 12 hour shift).

I love all these 12 hour shifts I’m getting!!! The more money on my paycheck means the more I’ll have extra to put in the wedding account!!!! We are about 10 months away and there are still tons to do!!! The only things we have done is pick the venue and our photographer. Oh and I have my dress!! So there is still tons to do!!!! I need to start looking at things and see what can be done this summer because once the fall starts, I’m going to be busy with student teaching.

Well, I guess that’s about all for now. Please leave me your comments with what you would like to see more of on my blog. Happy 4th of July!! Have fun and be safe!!!

Engagement Pictures!!!

Yesterday I got an email from our photographer saying that our engagement pictures are finished and ready to view!!! I got that email at about 10:30 AM so I had to wait the rest of the day until my fiancé got home from work to look at them!! He is supposed to get off at 3:30 but most of the time he stays later. Well, of course yesterday had to be a day that he stayed later. I was hoping he would get home before 5:00 because that is when I had to leave to go to work. He got home at 4:45! We started looking at the pictures as soon as he got through the door!! Our photographer did a great job!!! I can’t believe how awesome they turned out!! Our engagement pictures turned out so good that I can’t wait to see how good our wedding pictures turned out!! And it’s all thanks to Jeremy Bischoff. You can check out his site here. I’m not sure how many of my blog followers live near me, but if you are in the area, I highly recommend him!!

So, without any further ado, here are some of my favorite pictures!!

So this was my attempt at a Twilight-inspired picture, but it turns out I got it wrong. In the meadow scene, they were facing the same way. I’ve seen this done before, I just don’t know where. Even though it isn’t like something in Twilight, I still really like this picture.

Not that many ring pics were taken, but this one makes up for it!

Our first kiss happened in the parking garage where we took the pictures, so we had to go there and take some pictures! Where we are at in this picture is probably really close to where we were during our first kiss. I think the spot was probably a little to the left of where we are in the picture.

This is my second favorite picture!!

Wedding Update

I don’t do many wedding updates, but maybe that’s because I don’t really have that much to update everyone on. We have decided our venue for the wedding and reception a few months ago and paid the deposit. Earlier today we met with a potential photographer to go over pricing and packages. I’m pretty sure we have the photographer narrowed down to 2 people so now we just have to meet up with the other photographer and see which one we can get the better deal from. I think the photography is the second most important thing about a wedding, right after the dress which is number one of course. So it is very important that we get the best possible deal we can.

I think there are 2 big factors in which photographer we will choose. One offers all day coverage while the other one offers either 5, 8, or 10 hours, and then it costs extra per every hour you go over. One of them gives you one photographer and the other gives you two, if you go with a certain package.

Another big factor is the price because after all, we need to make sure we can get the most for our money. But my fiancé and I have agreed, that if we are willing to splurge a little bit on our photography because it is a very important part of the wedding.

So now we just have have to wait until next week when we hear back from the other photographer so we can set up a time to meet with her. My fiancé is thinking we will go with the guy we met earlier today, but we just have to wait and see what the other one has to offer.

Do you have any advice for us? Is it worth it spending a little extra money if it means we have an unlimited time with the photographer? Is it necessary to have two photographers for a small wedding of less than 150?
