16 & Pregnant
Alright, so I'm watching an episode now about this girl that is 16 & pregnant, and got married when she was about 24 weeks pregnant. I just think that is way too young to be getting married. It doesn't matter that they are going to have a baby, I just don't see how thy had the money to pay for a wedding. She said her parents paid for the wedding, but still. That money could have been spent on other things. It's just a little weird watching this episode cause none of the other teens on the show got married. And I think those other teens are smart. I just can't imagine what that must be like being married at 16.

Well I think if the parents would talk to these 16 year old boys and girls about protection they wouldn't get pregnant at sixteen.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't smart to get pregnant at sixteen. To say it isn't smart to get married is slightly off considering marriages can be nullified, a baby cannot be (well the responsibility cannot be). I have never watched the show but I kind of feel it has a negative affect on the youth today. Its exploiting and can be perceived as saying teen pregnancy is okay and manageable . It makes it clear that it is a common occurrence but what is common isn't always the way it should be.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a problem with them getting married at a young age, I do have a problem with them getting married just because she's pregnant. As evident by Teen Mom, chances are they wont stay together. And also I don't think any of them are smart because they all got pregnant in the first place.
