Bucket List

So I was browsing through my blog and I noticed that I only have 2 items on my bucket list. I gotta change that and I want your input about what I should add to it. So please leave me a comment with any suggestions you may have! Have a great day!

A garden at last!

Ever since I can remember, I’ve always said that when I get a house I want to have a garden!!! Well, that dream is finally going to become reality!! A few weeks ago me, my fiancé, and my dad started on the garden by digging up the sod. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be! I tried taking the shovel to dig up a piece of sod, but I’m just not strong enough! So I left that to my fiancé and dad and I just carried the pieces of sod across the yard to put under a tree.

I forgot to take a picture of the area before we started digging, but I did take one when they were almost done.

 

It wasn’t the best day to do this because of the rain, but we had already planned to do it that day so we just went for it. It wasn’t even raining that hard, just sprinkling.

So now, the hard part of having a garden is done. Next we need to get a rototiller so we can till the soil. But until then, I need to decide what I want to plant. I’m debating if I’m going to start any plants indoors or not because I don’t have any places inside that get enough sunlight so I’m not sure where I would put them so that they get sunlight.

I just found this awesome chart that says when to start seeds indoors and when to start them in the ground. You put in your zip code and then it tells you approximated dates of when to plant vegetables.

I also found this site on Pinterest, it’s called Sprout Robot. You plug in your zip code like the site above and it tells you what you can plant in your garden and when. You gotta love the internet! If you don’t know anything about gardening (like me) you can find all kinds of tools to help you out!!!

Why, Hello There!!

Wow, I haven’t blogged since January 4th!! At one point I thought about not blogging again, but then I changed my mind. I enjoy blogging so that’s why I’m writing a post now. And I know I’ve said it before, but I’m really going to stick with it this time. So, now it’s time for an update!
So, remember in my last post I posted about how we got this guy:

Well, we went to the Humane League and got him a friend!!!

Meet Mia…

At first they didn’t get along that well, but they are doing just fine now. The Humane League got her in as a stray just 3 days before we went to see her and they estimate her to be about 6 months old. We think she may be a little older than that though because she’s a lot bigger than Milo, who is 5 months old.
Here is one of the few pictures I’ve gotten with both of them. Mia loves that box!!

And here is Milo in a box. Just give these kitties some boxes and they’re happy!!!

Oh wait, I can’t forget about Mia’s other favorite place…the bathtub!!!
Now we have to make sure we check the tub before taking a shower.
So, I guess that’s about all that's new. I’m still busy with work and classes. But this semester it is just a lot of busy work that doesn’t really take that long to do. I’m kind of bored this semester. Oh wait, one other thing. I’m going wedding dress shopping in May!!!! I know it’s about 2 months away, but I have to pick a date now so that everyone can get off work so they can come. There might be up to 8 people going!!! I don’t think that’s too many though. I’ve seen a lot more people go dress shopping with the bride on Say Yes to the Dress. Speaking off…I’m going to have to start watching more episodes of Say Yes to the Dress! That and get together some pictures from magazines!!!!
